I have an important review to give Bensons but I'll keep it simple if I can. They rebuilt my 4runner transmission. I had a problem with it twice...a big one actually. It was a part that went bad twice. At first you could think I have a right to be mad. The truth is I was. I didn't tell them that however and instead gave them a chance to make it right. They passed the test. Things didn't go perfect but what matters to me is whether a company stands by their reputation and their work to make things right. A good company makes things right without argument. A great company jumps on it, communicates well, upgrades the parts if possible. Mike and his guys did all of the above. I've recommended them to a couple other people and I will continue to do that. I don't need perfection, I need accountability and follow-up. They did what I expect from the best companies to do business with. read more

The service here was great, everyone was friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. They explained the pricing clearly and made sure I understood exactly what my car needed. They were able to rebuild my transmission in about a week, which I really appreciated. I'm very happy with the experience. He worked on my Jeep compass transmission, fair prices. read more

Mike provided me great customer service, rebuilt my transmission to how it's supposed to run, and got my truck finished within a day or two of the predicted time of completion. Definitely one of the better shops out there, and I would recommend it for your transmission needs. read more

Honest quote, timely service, quality work. Would recommend to any and all classic car owners he rebuilt my C4 transmission like new.

I had a great experience with Benson's Transmissions. It's hard to find shops that are both skilled and honest nowadays, but these guys truly care about their customers and do quality work. They took the time to explain everything clearly, gave fair pricing, and never tried to upsell unnecessary repairs. You can tell they take pride in doing the job right the first time. Honest, professional, and reliable service -- I highly recommend them to anyone needing transmission work or automotive repairs. read more

Bensons transmissions exceeded our expectations! We had originally taken our F150 to a different shop that was under our warranty and they quoted us almost 10k for a transmission rebuild (turns out they didn't even do a full diagnostic and just assumed the whole transmission needed replaced). I was recommended to see Mike at bensons and just from explaining over the phone he said it sounded like it was just the transmission valve body. (He was right!) Mike was extremely communicative throughout the whole process of dealing with the warranty company and the job was done in a timely manner and a fraction of the cost it would've been at the other shop. Our truck is now running good as new! I'll be taking all future repairs to Bensons! read more

Mike and Aaron hands down best customer service they provide fair pricing and do honest work very fast and same day service they install new valve body and my Silverado is running like new I highly recommend this place if you need work done read more

Extremely helpful and generous with sharing their knowledge. I'm in the process of working on my wife's transmission and came into some issues while installing everything back and one of their guys, Juan, gave me some good tips, suggested some parts to replace and why I should replace them, told me a very affordable place to go, and when I didn't realize I needed a special tool, they helped out very generously. I highly recommend their service. read more

This is the best place for any transmission work. Their shop and employees are amazing. It's done when they tell you, on time and quote a price they stick to. I wouldn't go anywhere else. My mechanic recommended them and it was a drive for me but very worth it. My car runs like new. read more

GOOD HONEST PEOPLE! Benson's was recommended to me by my Bro in-law. I had broke my transmission drain plug collar for my daughter's 2013 Civic and all the other shops around town told me the only way to fix it was to replace the whole transmission. Benson's helped me out and said let's see what we can do to help you out. And they did they fixed my transmission plug and was a lifesaver for me. They charged me a fair price and I am happy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BENSONS TRANSMISSION THEY ARE GOOD AND HONEST! read more

My 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 diesel transmission was beginning to fail with a constant fluid leak. With 200,000 miles, hauling a Lance Camper, and towing a offroad vehicle, the truck has been put to work. Mike quickly diagnosed the failing transmission pump and explained the importance to completely rebuild the transmission with heavy duty replacement parts. Great work, communication, and customer service. Was not cheap but reasonable but I am a very happy customer! read more

Very unreliable people! I brought my car here to get looked at Mike told me he didn't have room to bring it the following day which was fine with me. I brought it the following day and he does same thing, I gave him an extra chance and he tells me to take it to the electrician down the street (he won't fix it until I go). He says my car is fine and that he is trying to buy time to work on my car. I call him and he says he'll call me back it's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard from him. My car would never get fixed with this kind of reliability. Please do better read more

True craftsmen! Mike the manager is an expert at what he does...Transmissions. I called him and asked about some pricing on replacing my double clutch transmission on my 2014 Ford Focus. Mike asked me what was happening and offered to due a diagnostic and re-set the car's computer at no charge. Here is a shop that is in the business to make money and without knowing who I was offered to help me at no charge. Who does this?? Anyway, I took my car to his shop and he took it out to for a test drive. He came back and asked me if I had had the motor mounts replaced. I had it done at a shop in Rialto called Eddies...shop replace the mounts. As it turns out, Juan at BT had a replacement bolt for the missed bolt that he used to secure the trans mount and the problem was solved at no charge. Most shops would tell you to go back and see the other shop for the repairs, but not at Benson's Transmissions (BT). Mike and Juan thank you very much for all your expertise, honesty and just being GOOD PEOPLE. God bless you guys and that shop and my wife and I are forever grateful for all your help. I would definitely recommend Benson's Transmissions. A shop that is honest and the people are masters of their craft. read more

I just had my transmission done on my 2017 Honda Civic LX about 3 weeks ago and the car runs great. Once the job was completed I went to pickup the vechile. Only thing I noticed was my shift knob was a bit loose and went back they took care of the issues in less than 5 minutes. I would highly recommend coming here as mentioned by someone else every situation is different which is why I will not put the amount paid but it was way better than what AAMCO quoted me for the same job. Thanks to Mike and Peter and the rest of the guys at the shop for taking care of my vechile. Most reputable shop and guys who stand behind their work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

I will not give specifics because every situation is different. With that said, I just had to get a transmission rebuild for my 17 Silverado. I took it to Benson's because a good friend of mine takes his vehicles there. I was not disappointed in this decision. I paid what I thought was a fair price for the rebuild (they dropped the tranny and performed the work and reinstalled it). They also got the job done very quickly and was friendly the entire way through. 5 stars on the entire process. I don't ever write reviews but felt like I needed to. It is hard enough finding a shop that you can trust. I wrote this review for those people. I hope my words help you make the right decision in trusting Benson's with your trans work. read more

I highly recommend Benson's for any transmission work you need. Mike (The manager) went above and beyond . He was always keeping me updated, and my truck was fixed super quick. Runs amazing. These guys are awesome! Took my 2018 Toyota Tacoma into Benson's after experiencing a shudder on the torque converter/transmission. Took it to the dealership prior to calling Benson's for a diagnosis and they wanted to charge me to replace the entire transmission and torque converter $6,000K+. Called up Benson's and spoke to Mike. Had me bring it in at no charge to test drive it. One of his mechanics test drove the truck with me and recommended a full transmission service. Dropped it off and was done the same day within a few hours. Now truck has no shudder and all gears are shifting perfectly! Mike and his crew definitely saved me a lot of money. Price to service my transmission was more than reasonable. Thank you Mike and crew for the honesty and fixing my issue, will definitely be bringing my business and any family, friends over to his shop! read more

Benson's Transmissions - Transmission Repair Near Me - Bloomington, California

Volunteers for Veterans Foundation was trying to help a veteran get her transmission fixed on a car she had bought without knowing the transmission was a problem. We had taken her to a few shops, and all they wanted to do was replace the transmission, not repair it. Our quotes were between $4000 and $6000. Which I understand is about the cost of a used or new transmission. We took the car To Mike at Benson's transmission. He could fix the repair instead of replacing it, knowing why and what we were doing. Over the years, Benson Transmission has greatly supported VFVF and the Veterans' community. read more

On budget and not just on time, but ready earlier than I was told to expect! Mike even stayed late for me to pick it up a little after they closed. FYI, I had a 2/3 flare on my 2007 Ford Escape that necessitated a transmissions rebuild. Only a couple hundred miles since getting it back, but running great. read more

Great guys and great work! I send all my projects here for work and just bought my 3rd transmission from them. They also helped me on a rear end rebuild. Quality is top notch and pricing is very fair. I never have any doubts, I just drop off, give the parameters of my need and wait for the call to pick up. read more

Amazing service and price. Have all ready been telling people about Bensons! Thank you guys.

Mike will take care of you. I took my car to AAMCO where they wanted to charge me $6000 for a rebuild.Of my transmission. I thought that was very expensive and I called Bensons and they recommended I take my car out of AAMCO and bring it to them and they definitely took care of me. read more

If there was a way to place 50 stars I would have. Had a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 truck with Auto-trans. Used it quite a bit for towing trailers and the old OE tranny was just about done. Took it to Mike and it was absolutely astonishing how fast and skilled this man is with transmissions. within seconds of dropping the tranny he removed some bolts and everything came apart! At first I was a bit nervous that he would know where all those little pieces go back together and boy did he do a bang up job. Not only rebuild the tranny but placed an upgraded shift kit on it and what a difference!!! well worth the $1K. The tranny was SOLID and shitted spot on every single time after that upgrade. Mike, thank you once again. Now I've got another Dodge ram 1500 (2008) model that I would like to do the same on!! YOU GUYS ROCK!! read more

This is a great place to bring your car for transmission services. The people are honest and will give you a honest assessment as what's wrong with your car and a fair price. Trust these guys! read more

Bensons was GREAT! They new EXACTLY which transmission I needed, without going to the computer. He gave me an OUT THE DOOR price. He gave me a warranty and even offered an extended warranty. He was up front in regards to what the warranty didn't cover. He allowed me to look at the parts of a transmission and showed me the inter workings and how the transmission operated. His price was very similar to several other shops I called. He told me it would be ready in 48 hours...... It was. I did not get a call saying there were surprises or extra charges... His out the door price was the out the door price. He showed me my parts and showed me the bad parts and showed me the excessive wear and heat damage. I hope I never have to put in another transmission but if I do..... I'm going to Bensons. Thank you for being professional and honest! (Ford F-250 Diesel, w/Banks) read more

Honest, professional, quality work reasonable prices.. this is the best transmission shop I have ever been to! I would give 10 stars if I could! Aaron and Mike are life savers!! They could have easily taken advantage of my situation, like other local mechanic shops tried to do, but instead they helped us stay alive as a small business! I do long distance moving, and my transmission went out on my 1995 Isusu NPR box truck. this is a 9000lb GVWR truck and it still had the customers items in it, so it was about 13000 pounds total. The customer was mad that they didnt have their items yet.. and i was tired. Before I called them I called Direct Truck Repair in colton. They quoted me over $6000 and wanted to replace my radiator as well, said it would take over a week, and kept it at their shop for 2 days before they could even give me an estimate. Direct Truck Repair took a while to figure out the parts, told me they had a harder time since it was an older truck.. ETC. There was no way we could afford this price so at this point we were considering leaving the truck in Colton, or trying to sell it with a broken transmission, possibly putting us out of business since we are a young company. As soon as I called Mike over the phone, he knew exactly what transmission it needed for the 5.7 Chevy engine in it and had the parts in stock, and quoted me $2300 right away without even seeing the truck!! This is how you really know what somebody is doing.. I brought it in on Wednesday afternoon and my transmission was rebuilt on FRIDAY! Since they knew I had to deliver the items to the customer, they worked their asses off until 7pm to make it a two day turn around. That is crazy. Their lift handled my truck no problem, and they even put in a heat sensor into my engine at no additional charge. I made deliveries in Los Angeles then headed back up to Oakland and my transmission is stronger than it ever has been and feels great. There was no change in price, they kept to the $2300 quote. I am so grateful to have found Benson's transmission I just wish they had a location in Oakland too because they are so great!! read more

I highly recommend Benson's Transmission, why? Well because recently I went to Benson's transmission to get my transmission replaced on my 2010 Nissan Altima. A gentlemen by the name Mike assisted me in everything that I needed done. I ask him to be honest with me on if it were a wise decision to proceed with maintenance on this particular vehicle if it's been a common issue with most owners. He answered my question in a manner that definitely didn't benefit his business financially but that better helped me in judgment moving forward in saving money. His response was completely honest. 2010 Nissan Altima's have a cvt transmission in them that wear out in a small amount of time even if the vehicles mileage is low. I speak from experience. This issue involves a replacement and not repair if you truly want the problem fixed. It's not a cheap fix. So before Mike even started working on my car he and his assistant did some research on the vehicle that I believed that I had done thoroughly myself. They found out from their research that my car model and year was under warranty for this specific issue dealing with cvt transmissions and informed me on such great news. Moral of this review is that they helped save me a few grand when they possibly could've gotten over on me by just replacing the part anyway after finding out that I was covered through the dealership for their own professional gain. Thank you Benson Transmission. read more

Great customer service! Great Price! And a deep knowledge of transmissions! I took my Ford C-4 Transmission there for a complete rebuild and had it back in 3 days, looking & performing better that new! Mike was very helpful and took the time to explain what need to be done and why - Thanks Mike! read more

These guys were phenomenal. I was recommended by a co-worker and her word was golden with these guys. I was told by Aamco that I would need my transmission rebuilt and was flabbergasted considering the vehicle didn't feel in that dire of a situation. Brought it here and these guys diagnosed my vehicle, identified the problem (not rebuilding the transmission but something minor), and even serviced my transmission twice to make sure it was all clean for a very moderate charge. I'm definitely coming back and recommend Benson's to everyone who needs help with their transmission. read more

Turns out it was a $30 linkage part and they fixed it on the spot with no appointment. They have all 5 star reviews for a reason. Don't go anywhere else read more

Recently I brought my 2010 Gti 6 speed. I Was leaking my brake/clutch fluid. I left it to them to check it and without opening the transmission they knew exactly what was the problem and it was the slave cylinder. Within a few days I had my car back running like I first got it when I bought it. I would recommend Benson's Transmission for their great work.
