Bensons transmissions exceeded our expectations! We had originally taken our F150 to a different shop that was under our warranty and they quoted us almost 10k for a transmission rebuild (turns out they didn't even do a full diagnostic and just assumed the whole transmission needed replaced). True craftsmen! Mike the manager is an expert at what he does...Transmissions. I called him and asked about some pricing on replacing my double clutch transmission on my 2014 Ford Focus. Mike asked me what was happening and offered to due a diagnostic and re-set the car's computer at no charge. Here is a shop that is in the business to make money and without knowing who I was offered to help me at no charge. Who does this?? Anyway, I took my car to his shop and he took it out to for a test drive. He came back and asked me if I had had the motor mounts replaced. I had it done at a shop in Rialto called Eddies...shop replace the mounts. As it turns out, Juan at BT had a replacement bolt for the missed bolt that he used to secure the trans mount and the problem was solved at no charge. Most shops would tell you to go back and see the other shop for the repairs, but not at Benson's Transmissions (BT). Mike and Juan thank you very much for all your expertise, honesty and just being GOOD PEOPLE. God bless you guys and that shop and my wife and I are forever grateful for all your help. Very unreliable people! I brought my car here to get looked at Mike told me he didn't have room to bring it the following day which was fine with me. I brought it the following day and he does same thing, I gave him an extra chance and he tells me to take it to the electrician down the street (he won't fix it until I go). He says my car is fine and that he is trying to buy time to work on my car. I call him and he says he'll call me back it's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard from him. I just had my transmission done on my 2017 Honda Civic LX about 3 weeks ago and the car runs great. Once the job was completed I went to pickup the vechile. Only thing I noticed was my shift knob was a bit loose and went back they took care of the issues in less than 5 minutes. I would highly recommend coming here as mentioned by someone else every situation is different which is why I will not put the amount paid but it was way better than what AAMCO quoted me for the same job. I will not give specifics because every situation is different. With that said, I just had to get a transmission rebuild for my 17 Silverado. I took it to Benson's because a good friend of mine takes his vehicles there. I was not disappointed in this decision. I paid what I thought was a fair price for the rebuild (they dropped the tranny and performed the work and reinstalled it). They also got the job done very quickly and was friendly the entire way through. 5 stars on the entire process. I don't ever write reviews but felt like I needed to. These guys are awesome! Took my 2018 Toyota Tacoma into Benson's after experiencing a shudder on the torque converter/transmission. Took it to the dealership prior to calling Benson's for a diagnosis and they wanted to charge me to replace the entire transmission and torque converter $6,000K+. Called up Benson's and spoke to Mike. Had me bring it in at no charge to test drive it. One of his mechanics test drove the truck with me and recommended a full transmission service. If there was a way to place 50 stars I would have. Had a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 truck with Auto-trans. Used it quite a bit for towing trailers and the old OE tranny was just about done. Took it to Mike and it was absolutely astonishing how fast and skilled this man is with transmissions. within seconds of dropping the tranny he removed some bolts and everything came apart! At first I was a bit nervous that he would know where all those little pieces go back together and boy did he do a bang up job. Not only rebuild the tranny but placed an upgraded shift kit on it and what a difference!!! well worth the $1K. The tranny was SOLID and shitted spot on every single time after that upgrade. Bensons was GREAT! They new EXACTLY which transmission I needed, without going to the computer. He gave me an OUT THE DOOR price. He gave me a warranty and even offered an extended warranty. He was up front in regards to what the warranty didn't cover. He allowed me to look at the parts of a transmission and showed me the inter workings and how the transmission operated. His price was very similar to several other shops I called. He told me it would be ready in 48 hours...... It was. I did not get a call saying there were surprises or extra charges... Honest, professional, quality work reasonable prices.. this is the best transmission shop I have ever been to! I would give 10 stars if I could! Aaron and Mike are life savers!! They could have easily taken advantage of my situation, like other local mechanic shops tried to do, but instead they helped us stay alive as a small business! I do long distance moving, and my transmission went out on my 1995 Isusu NPR box truck. this is a 9000lb GVWR truck and it still had the customers items in it, so it was about 13000 pounds total. The customer was mad that they didnt have their items yet.. and i was tired. Before I called them I called Direct Truck Repair in colton. They quoted me over $6000 and wanted to replace my radiator as well, said it would take over a week, and kept it at their shop for 2 days before they could even give me an estimate. Direct Truck Repair took a while to figure out the parts, told me they had a harder time since it was an older truck.. ETC. There was no way we could afford this price so at this point we were considering leaving the truck in Colton, or trying to sell it with a broken transmission, possibly putting us out of business since we are a young company. As soon as I called Mike over the phone, he knew exactly what transmission it needed for the 5.7 Chevy engine in it and had the parts in stock, and quoted me $2300 right away without even seeing the truck!! This is how you really know what somebody is doing.. I brought it in on Wednesday afternoon and my transmission was rebuilt on FRIDAY! Since they knew I had to deliver the items to the customer, they worked their asses off until 7pm to make it a two day turn around. That is crazy. Their lift handled my truck no problem, and they even put in a heat sensor into my engine at no additional charge. I made deliveries in Los Angeles then headed back up to Oakland and my transmission is stronger than it ever has been and feels great. There was no change in price, they kept to the $2300 quote. I highly recommend Benson's Transmission, why? Well because recently I went to Benson's transmission to get my transmission replaced on my 2010 Nissan Altima. A gentlemen by the name Mike assisted me in everything that I needed done. I ask him to be honest with me on if it were a wise decision to proceed with maintenance on this particular vehicle if it's been a common issue with most owners. He answered my question in a manner that definitely didn't benefit his business financially but that better helped me in judgment moving forward in saving money. His response was completely honest. 2010 Nissan Altima's have a cvt transmission in them that wear out in a small amount of time even if the vehicles mileage is low. I speak from experience. This issue involves a replacement and not repair if you truly want the problem fixed. It's not a cheap fix. So before Mike even started working on my car he and his assistant did some research on the vehicle that I believed that I had done thoroughly myself. They found out from their research that my car model and year was under warranty for this specific issue dealing with cvt transmissions and informed me on such great news. Moral of this review is that they helped save me a few grand when they possibly could've gotten over on me by just replacing the part anyway after finding out that I was covered through the dealership for their own professional gain.
