The creativity and unique concept gave each room an amazing experience. Plenty of photo ops you could think of which made it interesting. Inside the original station are photos from the railroad days, laboratory equipment and tools from the smelter. There were so many kids sprinting around unsupervised which was a safety issue for my little ones. They got pushed around a lot, many kids were hoarding all the balls or pieces for certain exhibits. The amount of running was pretty dangerous especially for my almost 2 year old. I liked that they had indoor and outdoor exhibits. They had a car repair shop, water play, air driven scarf and ball mazes, fish feeding (for a cost), a play ground, a climbing gym, a ropes course, a cafe, a gift shop, mazes and brain games, and many other exhibits. They had a variety of locations to park strollers. There were steps and elevators. The bags they put the fish food in were way too flimsy. Both broke on my kids and we were scrambling trying to hold the food and pick it up off the ground. It was nice that they have free parking and don't make you exit through the gift shop.

We saw a model of Earth, looked at several types of telescopes, learned how tornadoes form, and explored a variety of hands-on games and activities. The moon exhibit was one of our favorite areas. We enjoyed learning about the moon in such a fun way, and getting to touch a real moon rock made the experience even more memorable. The upper floors also offered interesting exhibits about energy, space, and science. Unfortunately, a few of the interactive exhibits were not working during our visit, so I hope they will be repaired soon. Even so, we had an amazing experience, and I highly recommend the Clark Planetarium--especially for families with children. I paid $3.50 for an hour of street parking, but there is also a nearby parking garage. The shopping and dining area behind the planetarium was very convenient and only a short walk away. I read up on military stories. And sometimes, I was lucky enough to meet a veteran that would share their stories. Hill Aerospace had all of that. Since my wife does the planning, I didn't think much of our visit until we pulled up and those large decommissioned military planes sitting outside in all of its glory brought me back to when I was 10 years old. But the magic continues after you walk in. Within three large hangers housed of some of the most historically iconic planes on display. Add a small platoon of veterans, many of which had personally flown some of these pieces, the stories were endless and I had the honor of speaking with a number of these veterans and listen to their stories. It was an amazing time and I could have spent the whole day there. I don't say this often, but Hill Aerospace is almost a destination museum. It was such a great experience and those veterans made it that much more special.

Instead, I danced for four hours straight, made new friends, and now have a very blurry selfie that might become a family heirloom. The setting was gorgeous, by the way. Big open spaces, cool lighting, and just enough art and architecture to make you feel elevated while also clutching your clutch and screaming the lyrics to "Mr. Brightside." The vibe was party, but in a classy way. Like you could go full glam and not feel out of place, but also not feel judged if you kicked your heels off before midnight and went rogue on the dance floor. Which I did. No regrets. Would I go again? Already planning my outfit. 10 out of 10, would ring in the new year under a disco ball surrounded by Salt Lake's most unhinged and best-dressed again.

Entering through the gift shop, you can go forward into the exhibits OR turn left and grab a drink at the "museum bar". Is this really Utah? Perhaps it was because we held a private event here but it felt like it's always open. Excellent. After a drink, we went into the exhibit and had a spin through the first floor and then the basement where they had a great exhibit on the area's mining history and included a real jail from back when.
