Still, that said, we've found Dave's to provide the best in steaks in the Jackson / Wellston area. The ground beef is also top-notch. So, if you're frustrated by the lack of quality in beef you'll find at Kroger, you should give Dave's a try.

One of the best things about honey that eventually granulates over time is that you know it is 100% raw honey, not overheated or high-pressure filtered, unlike honey that will not granulate, (for instance, honey that a person might buy at Kroger or Walmart.) This makes a mess all over the counter as you keep pulling the container out to move the honey around in the jar. This is such a wast of time and we have given up thinking that the honey would stop doing this year after year. Recently we found a vendor (Sara Bee) at the Worthington Farmers market (in Columbus, OH.) that sells local honey and it has never crystallized. Their honey is also from Circleville. We like it, it tastes good, it close and most importantly it doesn't crystallize. Sorry Crawford Apiaries. Let us know when yours doesn't crystallize anymore and we will buy yours again.

The parking is easy, the store is relatively clean, and we've never had any substantial issues. One time the chicken was not as fresh as I would have hoped and like with all Aldis, the stock/inventory varies from visit to visit. The staff have always been polite. Several times the check out employee was very friendly, most of the time just efficient and polite. Remember why the prices are so wonderfully low -- they keep their costs low and that means some things are bare bones! Bring your own bags and be prepared for a lightning quick scan and dump into your cart during check out. I find it's worth it, since we get pretty much everything we need and generally save 20%. It's also very efficient -- generally in and out in less than 30 minutes!
