I have no idea how the topic of taxes came up, but his friends assured me that he was the best CPA in the kingdom of Portland. Conveniently, I was in desperate need for a "tax guy" (PRO TIP: every gal oughta have a good tax guy, tattoo artist, car mechanic, and insurance agent) because of all the freelance work I was doing. I think Glenn initially thought I was all talk when I told him that I was interested in hiring him (sometimes it's difficult to take a scantily glad beer girl seriously, I know). A decade later and guess who's done my taxes (which have gotten increasingly more complicated) every year since that fateful meeting in a bar? Mhmm, Mr. Glenn Morin. Could I do my taxes on my own? Maybe. Do I want to? No. Not ever. I don't know what a typical accountant costs, but Glenn charges an extremely competitive rate - and he's worth absolutely every penny. I have sent multiple people his way because of his honesty, trustworthiness, quality of work, the skill set he possesses (which I sooooooo don't), and impressive knowledge base. I love the efficiency in which he gets my taxes done, and - even more than that - I appreciate that I can call him any time of day throughout the year (not just during January to March) with any questions I might have (once I called him just to ask about the noise level on the street he lived on).
