I've never been to a place that said they were full for the night at opening. We were luckily enough to get a spot for the next evening, at opening. Worth it. Everyone was really friendly. Our waitress had the drink menu in her head. Just say what you like. We got the heritage plate. Two types of brisket, a sausage, and two types of ribs. It was perfect. Didn't care too much for the sausage but everything was the most tenderest meats I've ever had, as well as tasty. No steak knife needed, but a butter knife was provided. So much food. And I had to save the rest for later. Definitely this place is on the top of my list for favorite bbqs. The Mac and cheese was interesting. It was good and cheesy. There was even cauliflower in it.

The main course included a sauced beef short rib, Cajun-style seared scallops, and BBQ beans and house bacon. The sides of the elotes, Brussels sprouts, and potatoes with parmesan were delicious. For dessert, the Maple syrup pie was a tad rich and saccharine. Service was excellent, though it took time for each item to come.

We went there on a Saturday night at…read morea little after 7 and were disappointed to see a sign on the door saying that the dining room was full. Happily, the hostess got the ok to seat us (party of 2) and we went on the patio. Unfortunately, the houseflies on the patio were too much for us and we had to go inside after about 20 minutes. But the food was very good. We shared a calamari appetizer and split a burger, and both were quite good. The ownership also runs a farm that raises excellent cattle, whose meat is served in all the beef dishes on the menu, so we thought the burger was an appropriate choice. We were right. As someone else noted, La Ferme also serves locally-brewed beer (Les Grandes Bois, in nearby St. Casimir), but it also sources other ingredients from local farms such as Terra Sativa in St. Alban. The service was attentive but not suffocating and the kitchen did a good job with the dishes we enjoyed. We'd gladly make a return visit!

It doesn't sound like much, but the fact they had high chairs for my son was a great touch. Jade was our server. She was very attentive and polite. This has been the total opposite of what we've received since being here. The food was sensational. Each tray comes with 3 sides. Mac, cole slaw, and baked beans. All 3 sides were delicious, and I hate coleslaw. The meat... The meat was fantastic. We paid the additional charges for a 4th meat, and we're very pleased with our decision. Pulled Pork, Brisket, Beef Rib, and smoked chicken were our choices. The salt and pepper base shined in every bite. The meats themselves didn't need sauces, but their mild and spicy barbecue sauces elevated them through the roof. The pull pork +spicy BBQ Sauce + Mac bite was elite. On top of all this, the proprietor, John, was delightful and shared a short story about his BBQ background as well as a shot of Canadian whisky. This is a must go for future visits to Montréal.
