The structure is beautiful and looked like a barn; it was nicely decorated and showcased Vermont as a whole. The restrooms were large and clean; they had changing tables which was a plus. They had a large patio area with many seats. There was even a playground. Parking was plentiful. We went in September around 6:30 pm and outside near the playground, there were a ton of mosquitos. We had to run out of there lol. Overall, it's a great spot to stop and stretch your legs if you're in the area.

The rest rooms were very nice and there was some art in the display room. But the traditional post and beam construction was the main attraction. The parking was ample. The faucets work, the toilets flush... and....get this.... there are actually paper towels to dry your hands with (in addition to dryers). It's easy to access and it's just past exit 10 on the northbound side of 87...on the southern end of Saratoga Springs. I also always feel somewhat safe as there are usually a few police cars parked here. Maybe it's a false sense of security (since I don't recall actually seeing police officers...)...but regardless...I've been here many times without incident. Which is a good thing.

It was quite busy on a late Sunday morning and the bathrooms in need of a refresh, but certainly not filthy. The was a Starbucks with drive through, a panera bread, and a Shake Shack, and Chick-fil-A, none of which I visited on this stop. There were electronic car chargers for those so inclined. I was disturbed by all of the broken glass in the parking area I'd selected, so if I develop a slow tire leak, I'll know what happened, and hopefully the state will sweep this up. I do like the updated sink setup in particular. Having water, soap, and dryer in one spot is convenient. The fact that you can access this rest stop from both directions also makes it a convenient meeting point on the road. (That's been handy more than once.) So overall, a very good option for a stop in the Albany area.
