With the amount of money spent to stay here, we expected much more, we are honors members and this hotel needs to be looked at. Very unhappy customers.

This is a stop listed on Historic Route 66 websites. Construction on Munger Moss Motel in Lebanon…read morebegan in 1946 during WWII. You could rent a cabin for three dollars a night when it opened. No TV's then, but you had your own shower and toilet and steam heat. It's really that marvelous sign that everyone comes to see. It's absolutely huge! The fact that the motel still has rooms for rent and the original sign is testiment to these towns and businesses. After the death in 2023 of Lebanon's own "Queen of Route 66" Ramona Lehman, the Lehman family, who ran the motel for 50 years, has sold this iconic location to Dels Corporation of Arkansas. Dels corp states they will work with the Lebanon Historic Route 66 Society to restore the motel and keep the historic sign in place. Here's hoping for another 73 years for the Munger-Moss motel.

We had a reservation for a single queen room. This location has no King rooms. Plenty of parking…read morearound building, and near the main door is one handicapped spot. Two bench seats outside by the entrance. Two restaurants within walking distance. The lobby is brightly lit with a large reception desk, vending machine and seating area. Breakfast room is right off the lobby. Check-in was friendly and efficeint. The room assigned was at the end of the first floor hall and it was recommended we park near the entrance on that end of the building. A key card is required to open that door. The rooms are small and minimally furnished. Our standard queen room had one side table, one lamp, dresser w/TV and microwave, fridge and a comfortable chair. The closet area had a good numer of hangers, iron and board. No luggage rack. Sink/vanity is in room and has a good amount of space for toiletries. Tissues, a hand towel bar, bar soap and coffee service are here. Toilet and shower room is small. Two sets of soft towels and plenty of TP on shelves here. The shower head, although it had a bit of hard scale, had excellent pressure and good spray pattern. Plenty of hot water. Floor mat and multi-use personal care items in shower. The room was warm throughout our visit. The blackout curtains would not stay shut/closed/together so I used the 'clip on hanger' trick to fix that (see photo). The bed is soft. Three pillows. Warm blanket. Soft sheets. The metal bed frame does stick out a bit and is covered with a bed skirt. The lamp has two outlets in the base. Both worked. The other side of the bed does not have a plug. There is no desk area in room. Breakfast included coffee and tea, some individually wrapped pastry, cold cereal, sausage gravy and biscuits, hard boiled eggs, toast, yogurt, apples, juice. The breakfast area is clean and bright with one TV in the corner showing morning news/lifestyle program.

It had everything we needed as far as towels, fan, fridge and microwave. The beds were soft which we liked. The rooms were outdated which was okay because they were clean which was most important. It was very close to the state park and the ladies working there were very friendly and helpful. We will stay again next time we go down.

The baseboards were off the wall, we could see bugs inside the walls with the baseboards and there was an awful smell. I talked with the owner about cancelling my additional days at the hotel but I would pay the first night understanding that I was already checked in. I was advised to call the third party I went through and I would get a refund. Come to find out the owner of the hotel denied giving me a refund for the additional days. The third party representative told me he had never been so disrespected in his life by the owner. He yelled at the representative and showed no type of custom r service. The owner kept saying the base boards were off because they were still fixing wiring and he denied the bugs and cleanliness. I was never given a refund. Don't stay here. Even with the good prices, for the lack of cleanliness and customer service/respect doesn't make it worth the bargain.

"Kitchenette" in our room was flithy. Had coffee and coffee maker but no cups. Furniture and carpet in the room was terribly worn down the beds sag in the middles. Floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed after the last people left, or ever. Bed was absolutely covered in long white dog hairs as was the chair, stained sheets on both beds and yellowed pillows. Water was luke warm at best. Wall behind toilet was crumbling literally and wet. Smoke detector beeped all night. No comforters on the beds only old stained sheets and very thin worn fleece blankets. To top it all off, we had to wait for them to count the pillows and towels in our room before we could check out and get our $100 CASH ONLY deposit back (which we weren't told about "said deposit" until we checked in). Then when I asked why they told me it was due to COVID19, a new policy since being allowed to reopen people where stealing their room appliances and bedding. Are you kidding me.
