We rented a pontoon boat to take out with our family. We had 11 people in our family: 6 adults and…read more5 children. We were under capacity for both people on the boat and also for the weight limits. I also want to point out that the lake was not very busy and the water was pretty calm. We noticed immediately that the steering wheel pulled really bad and need to be oversteered to the left. While we were driving, we began to notice that the boat was leaning to one side and we were getting sprayed a lot on that side. We had two adults and two small children on the front section of the boat (we had tried to reposition weight several times because of the way that the boat was behaving). As we were behind another boat, we hit a a few waves that a pontoon should have easily been able to take. Water rushed over the front of the boat to the point that it seemed as if we were going to sink. Two of our kids went overboard and two parents had to jump in to make sure they didn't go under the boat. At some point during this, a piece of the aluminum trim on that side of the boat fell off. We also noticed that the pontoon on that side of the boat was dented. Needless to say, we drove back to the marina with some very scared kiddos and anxious/frustrated parents. At the dock, Jeff asked what happened and didn't allow us time to fully explain the situation before blaming us for having too many people in the front seats of the boat (2 women and 2 kids). He argued that this was operator error. We paid the full price for 8 hours of use (we were out for about 5 hours) for an already damaged pontoon. Jeff also informed us that we owed an extra $250 for the trim that fell off during this ordeal. He was extremely unprofessional and did not offer any concern about this incident, even though our kids left feeling unsafe and we talked to him about our concerns. As we were leaving, he was filling the boat up with gas, so I worry that this boat will be rented out again to some poor unsuspecting family and worse will occur. Do not rent from these people. They do not care about their customers, only about money.

They moved the boat from the hoist and made it ready for us to board. They went over some of the more basic rules. The pontoon we rented was a tri-hull. The boat was relatively new and everything worked well. I especially like the dept finder whereas we were suspect of shallow waters. Got our deposit back quickly. We also took a pull behind water tube for the kids. The staff was kind, friendly and very knowledgeable. When we returned the boat it was very easy.

I would like…read moreto start out saying, what a beautiful looking showroom extremely clean inside all the boats were even dust free. Well kept up showroom, even the grounds were kept up and looking good. Now, it's time to share my concerns about the engine's installation. 1. I'm not sure if it was me or someone else, but we had to tilt the engine up to put the transom saver on. That's when the five-amp clean power fuse blew(what fuse ?). Salesman called one of the installers over to look at the fuse, he commented that happens sometimes with the newer engine. He put in a new fuse then handed me 4 extra fuses. 2. Returned home, decide to check the torque value of the mounting hardware for the jack plate to engine. I found the mounting hardware torque to approximately 40 ft lbs, where it should be 90 ft/ lbs. In addition, the wrong mounting hardware was used. Mercury requires 1/2" X 20 bolts to be used when mounting the engine to the jack plate or to the transom which requires 55 ft/lbs ( Mercury outboard to lift plate mounting bolt kit 10-67755A22/26). If mounted to the jack plate it requires 90 ft/lbs. If they install the wrong hardware on my boat, how many other boats out there have the wrong hardware with the improper torque value? 3. Decided to purchase a new hydraulic steering Seastar Front Mount cylinder for the new engine. After the new Seastar Front Mount was installed I noticed that they failed to install grounding strap. How about that. Called the dealer and they said it was not included with the box and they would not send me one. They said to call Seastar and they'll send me one for free. I called SeaStar in Canada. They said they will sent me one for free, but they would need my Social Security number or tax exam number due to the tariffs. In addition, he said all the grounding straps are included in all front mount cylinders, so somebody's lying. 4. My last concern is, I went to remove the prop and it was excessively tightened where I needed a breaker bar to break the nut loose. In addition they had the washers backwards for the installation, go figure. Some positive comments, hooking up the trailer to head back to the dealer I noticed that my brake actuator roll pin was missing the washer and snap ring. They were nice enough to install a washer and snap ring at no charge. In addition, I asked if they could program the Smartcraft Mercmonitor so I can see my trim position, they were nice enough to do that for me.

It was always difficult to get a spot to park your RV, it was kept immaculately clean, Bob always went out of his way to make you feel at home. When he decided to retire, he sold the lease to Betty Sue Roberts, who hired managers that has allowed the property to go into disrepair, much of the lake around the property is now inaccessible, The rental facilities are almost uninhabitable. Three years ago we sold our RV and decided to start staying in the cabins out there. We could not use the hot water. Every time you would start the hot water, the Cabin would fill with the smell of sulfur which anyone knows smells exactly like rotten eggs. During checkout, we reported the issue and they assured us they would fix the problem. Before checking in last year, we asked and where told the issue had been resolved, and that we would not encounter that problem again. We were lied to, and the smell was much worse, and when we asked to switch cabins, they told us the other cabins were under repair and we could not get a refund. Me and my family sadly will never stay here again. This year we ended up staying at Nemo Bridge resorts, I am thankful that we found a new place to stay, it is so much nicer and a lot more clean and had roughly 6 times the amount of lake accessibility with a beach. I also want to mention that we are not the only ones that have watched this resort fall to disrepair, every year since the lease transferred to Ms. Roberts less and less people stay at this resort. I do not recommend anybody to stay here! This place is great if you have an emergency with your boat, but if you're looking for lodging whole on a vacation or just a getaway, you don't want to feel like you're slumming it in an alley somewhere. We rented an Airbnb close in Osage Beach near the bridge the end of September and looked for a…read morefishing boat to rent for a day or two that was nearby. Calling and checking on prices, The Getaway was the first that appeared to be interested in working with me and patiently explained they didn't do little (we were a party of five) fishing boats anymore. We ended up getting a new Tritoon that could probably hold a dozen persons, no problem. Secured our fishing licenses and found the rental location where a young man was waiting with a side-by-side, willing to haul our gear down to the dock. Checking in was smooth and easy, instructions were given, and directions and ideas shared on the best areas to fish. Well, the fishing wasn't great, although we changed location a few times, and we hoped to stop at a dockside restaurant, so returned the boat a bit early so we wouldn't go over our allotted time. The Tritoon performed beautifully (hair trigger on the throttle), powerful motors, shade, pockets for storage. They were right--the Triton was very stable, waves no problem. Expected to pay for gas in addition to quoted price but apparently overlooked or forgot about the cleaning fee. The young man hauled our gear back up the hill. Would love to return with a larger party and really have some fun.

Told no problem. 13 the I came by boat still not done. Picked it up for other appointment back on Friday. Tuesday get a call telling me they finally figured out they needed to order parts.
