However, he said they did rent regular bikes for $49/24 hours. He offered to drop bike off & pick up for $20 to drop off & $20 to pick up. He recommended what kind of car to rent to be able to fit the bike inside (Corolla w/ wheels off) or better yet, a SUV. He went over the different trails in Palo Duro Canyon & the difficulty & shade of each trail. He pointed out that trails were closing at 11 am, due to the heat. He explained about mountain bikes. Michael went above & beyond to be helpful so my husband & I would enjoy our trip. We ended up driving & bringing our e-bikes. However, on future trips, we will feel very comfortable & taken care of renting a mountain bike from Palo Duro Canyon Outfitters.

Anybody can do this easy ride - even kids and people who've never been on a horse. This time of year, I liked how they get started at 7:30 or 7:45 as it's not very hot yet. It would get to near 100F later in the day but the temp at 7:30 was only 70 something. Some of the horses are wearing masks and eye protection too - I like that. Looking forward to going back soon.

First the people working there were super accommodating and held the ride for us a few minutes as it was not too busy that day and we were scrambling to get there. Amazing vistas; not too much talking but nice quiet to let you soak it all in. Our guide answered questions and pointed out a few things... but mostly let us just be and be with nature! Sensei Gray gives students focused and individualized direction in the dojo. Teamwork and participation in class teaches students lessons that can be utilized outside the dojo. Sensei encourages self defense, but not hurting others unless a threat to their person. He teaches children the importance of obedience to parents and teachers and why this is beneficial to them. Sensei explains why there are rules in place in our everyday lives and that it is important to follow the rules. Honesty and telling the truth are taught and expected of the students. While there is a healthy amount of competition, emphasis isn't necessarily on winning (though it is celebrated as an accomplishment). Sensei directs every student to try their best at everything they do, both inside and outside of the dojo. Not only does Sensei teach respect and courtesy, but he practices these traits everyday in class with his students. Sensei is available for lessons outside of class should a student want time to be worked with individually on specific techniques. There are tournaments that students can sign up for and participate in. Approximately twice a month, students practice sparring in class. Sensei makes an effort to know each child, their strengths and weaknesses, and their best learning style. He works with each student and helps them to feel confident and strong. My son has been practicing with Sensei Gray since he was 5, and he has been training more formally in the past year. I cannot recommend this Sensei and his dojo more. We tried other organized sports in the area and were disappointed by coaches only playing those who needed the least coaching. We were relieved to find that Sensei was more concerned with my son as an impressionable child who deserved a teacher who believed in him. We are beyond thankful for the lessons that our son is coming away with and is able to utilize not just in the dojo, but at home and school as well.

These days it has come down to the necessity of martial arts for all children as they can protect themselves.

I was looking for a studio in Amarillo to continue my Pilates practice when I come home to visit…read morefamily. The studio is very clean, organized and put together. Gina is also a very talented and exceptionally trained instructor to have. She did a flow sequence where we went from one move immediately into another. She paid attention to all my moves and helped with adjustments if I did something wrong or my body wasn't responding correctly. I highly recommend visiting this studio if you are starting out in a Pilates practice or a full on expert level looking for a solid workout. The workout today helped relieve some back pain and help with my mobility after travel. I'm looking forward to seeing Gina again the next two days I am in town. Again, highly recommend and can't say enough positive things about this place. I've been to numerous studios (mostly in SF) and can definitely tell when someone knows what they are doing.
