Despite being extremely busy in the Urgent Care, the system of moving us through checkin, triage with a nurse, labs and images, and eventually to seeing the doctor all seemed sequential and proper. I'm super glad we have caring and competent people right here in Oceanside who can address, test, and treat a variety of problems. Trying to make an appointment over the phone can be a challenge because the answering service is often triggered early afternoon (before 5pm), during long lunch hours, & still on late morning. I have no issues with the medical care, but can't give 5 stars because I dread the appointment process & the fact it can take hours to wait to see a doctor for a few minutes.

I was referred by another physician to go to this office and see Dr. Meineke for ongoing foot pain. My initial call was answered by Maria? who sounded less than enthused to help me. I made an appointment with the dates that she gave me. I showed up for my appointment, a young blonde (Carrie?) at the front desk greeted me and had me fill out questions on a iPad. I was taken for a three view x-ray and taken to the back to be seen by the doctor. While I was waiting, I could hear every bit of the conversation by the staff who seems to just hang out in the hallway outside the rooms. I understand that the viewing stations are right there but the conversations were of personal matters and loud(loud male voices). Doctor came in and spent maybe five minutes before he ordered an MRI. I was glad that he ordered that as I have had prior trauma to that part of the body. I was told that as soon as I have my MRI, to call the office and make a f/u appointment for the results. When I went for my MRI, the nice girl went to confirm the body part to be imaged and come to find out the Dr.Meinke's office sent in an order for the wrong foot. The girl at the MRI center called the office to clear up the mix up but the office never called back ( I was there 1.5hrs from check in to check out). The MRI center did the scan on the correct foot based off of what I told them. I stopped by Dr.Meineke's office after my MRI to make a f/u appointment and to inform them of what had happened. I came across the blonde young lady again and when I kindly told her about the mix up, she responded with "It happens from time to time, HaHa!". She did not apologize and nor did she offer to fix it (smh). I returned for my f/u to find out the results of the MRI, I asked the blonde young lady if I can get a copy of my x-rays and the report. she was very sweet and said "of course, just ask for them at checkout, they will be ready for you). I meet with the doctor, We discuss the results. He walks out. doesn't say okay we are all done... so I ask if I am all finished up?. He loves to walk out and not say anything. I get to the check out desk, I ask for my x-rays and I am told that there is going to be a $5.00 fee for the CD... mind you, the blonde at the front desk never, ever mentioned a fee. I pay the money and ask where is the report that accompanies it, so the young man apologizes on behalf of the staff member who forgot to mention the fee and gives me a printout. This was my first request for the images. Normally the first set is free at most doctors offices. My MRI CD was free. I have worked in Healthcare for over 20Years and I know this not the way to run a medical center. I am sure Dr.M is very good at what he does however, I will not be returning to this office. Poor front office communication, staff members hanging around examination rooms discussing personal things. looks like a frat house. doctor spends very little time with the patient and only seems to listen to what he wants to listen and the rest doesn't seem to matter. I had high hopes but I was sadly let down.

Dr. Lenzkes did take on the responsibility of making sure my husband's blood thinner medication (coumadin) was in check and was not doing harm as well as for the rest of his health. He allowed many instances of our ER visits to go UNQUESTIONED, because the medical instrument he was using at the time was , and later, was confirmed to be faulty in diagnosing a proper amount of blood thinner. He NEVER asked that my husband do a dual check to be sure the device was testing correctly as they usually do with blood pressure monitors, etc. in a usual MD practice. (We were in the ER at least 3 (three) times a year for 3 years (three) because of bleeding issues.) prior to his death. Funny it was when 2 months after my Husband's death from "Acute Blood Loss Anemia", the manufacturer of this product who sells many devices to MD's found that the instrument that was used and never tested under Dr. Lenzkes direction and control was totally defective and was indicated on a number of other deaths because it indicated the level was ok and NOT harmful to those who took this blood thinner but registered totally incorrectly. You make your own decisions, but be very careful of what is recommended, because he is NOT very careful about the lives of his patients. He left the practice in Uptown San Diego soon after that and never sent an explanation why. Make your own choice.

Someone suggested Microacupuncture to help slow the progression of the disease and to repair some of the dying cones. I found Gail Brent online and contacted her not knowing what to expect. As she's in San Diego and we're in San Jose we would have to make a special trip to see her. I sent her a message and within a day she took the time to call me up and explain the whole procedure. She was so caring and nurturing and agreed to open over the thanksgiving week just for us to come down. You couldn't ask for a more caring person to treat your children. The boys were 9 by the time we saw her and needless to say they were more than a little leery about having needles stuck into them. Gail was so good with them! Not only did she make them feel comfortable and at home in her clinic, the treatment worked! When we left their vision had improved. I noticed they weren't holding menus and books quite as close to see the words and they noticed they could now read the speed limit signs on the highways. Amazing! We visited Gail again for another treatment and she was just as accommodating as the first time, if not more. This woman is all heart and soul. She has been a godsend to our family and our boys. The only downside is that she lives so far away from us. If I could give her 10 stars I would.

She has done an excellent job relieving the tension I have in my neck and back through deep tissue massage. She's also very kind and genuine. (It also helped that he has almost 100 5 star rating on google and not a single negative review) I had slept on my couch for a few days while my brother was visiting me and had such bad sciatic pain I couldn't drive or sit for very long, my doctor at Kaiser told me to just wait it out and after a month of pain I decided to try a chiropractor. What really impressed me was the thorough and in depth information that he provides. You get an X-ray which he analyses and explains to you during the following visit, followed by a treatment plan. Dr Rueben was able to identify trauma to my neck, and the age around which I had received it, stemming from a snowboarding accident where I landed on my head (thanks for the helmet dad!) that I had completely forgotten about. Slowly, adjustment by adjustment my sciatica and whole back neck and shoulders started to feel better and better, and now I can say my sciatica pain no longer bothers me. I came in for my sciatica pain but I had thought back pain and shoulder and neck pain were just part of life! When she returned, she informed me that the office manager said I could not be seen that day. I explained that I had been treated at this same location in November without any issues. She responded by saying I "shouldn't have been seen in November because they didn't get paid." However, I have the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) showing that the claim was paid. I expressed my concern that this was an urgent care facility and that I was being refused care. I was simply told that I could not be seen there. The entire interaction was disappointing. I found the staff to be rude, unprofessional, and unwilling to communicate respectfully or resolve what appeared to be a misunderstanding. Based on this experience, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this facility to others. I will not be returning and would not recommend this location based on my experience.

Scheuer fixed that and my breathing was much easier. But it also unveiled other issues that where masked by the broken nose. He looked at the issues, recommended another Medical Hospital to get the procedure done. After the first visit of a misdiagnosis. He did a follow up with the other Hospital and insured they looked at the issue. 2 operations later, the issue is fixed.
