After 7 months of constant pain and suffering, I was finally admitted to Henry Ford Hospital--and I truly believe this is where my life was saved. I didn't realize how sick I actually was until I started getting better. For months, I went from provider to provider, begging for help. The pain was severe and relentless, but because the infection was in a difficult location, imaging didn't fully show how serious it was. I felt unheard and dismissed over and over again. When I met this surgeon, everything changed. I looked him in the eye and said, "Please help me." And he did. He took my concerns seriously, acted quickly, and ultimately removed the infection from my jaw bone. Now that I've been on the correct antibiotics and received proper treatment, the difference is truly night and day. I was recommended to see Dr. Barbetta and on September 29th, I went in to see him to have an estimate done for having 1 and 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled. I was informed that someone from the office would reach out to me a day or two later to go over costs and to set up an appointment for the procedure if I wanted to continue with them. Nothing happened, so after waiting two weeks I called and was told I'd be called back with pricing. Nothing happened. I called again after two weeks and once again nothing. The final and third time I called, I was told, this would be sent up to the supervisor and I'd be called back. That call took place on 10.31.23 and as of today (11.14.23) almost 2 months after the "Consultation Appointment", I still haven't received a call nor given pricing for the cost of the procedure, and yet I am being charged for the "Service" that was never fully completed. read more
