But then there's the Emotional Intelligence angle, and many doctors fail there.I recently had an abscess in my tooth and I would not wish it on anyone. Imagine going to bed on a random Tuesday night and waking up Wednesday in utter agony with one side of your jaw swollen out two inches. It's a very scary situation. I've since heard of some people needing the ER. Dr Mitrut and his staff? Every single one of them was fantastic at all phases. Lisa's empathy came through on the first call; the staff, overall, are clearly experienced with emergency situations. And, importantly, Dr. Mitrut took the TIME to explain every stage of the events. That's rare. Too many doctors, in my own personal opinion, rely on their own experience without taking the time to recognize a person is in distress. Dr. Mitrut took those extra moments and I can't recommend him or this office enough because of that.

My cleanings/xrays have been done by either Arety or Aliki, who always work quickly and efficiently and are both obviously experienced and knowledgeable hygienists. My recent visits were with the very welcoming Dr. Eleni. She works skillfully & gently ("just a pinch", she warns & I don't feel anything but the numbness kicking in moments after) Most importantly it is obvious that she is a perfectionist who takes pride in her work. When I consulted her about some cosmetic work, she was able to advise me on several modern dental procedures I was unaware were possible alternatives. She called in the lead dentist, Dr. Eracleous for additional input. All of the options presented were cheaper than the procedure I initially suggested, which goes to show how considerate they are of their clientele. Knowing that I need to see an endodontist and I came in hoping for treatment for a root canal in one of my molars. I spoke to the front desk, over the phone, if they perform a root canal for tooth number 2. I asked the front desk if she was an endodontist, and she said, the doctor does root canals and other things too. I schedule an appointment for a consultation to be turned away because this procedure requires an endodontist. I paid the consultation for something I already know. It's a waste of money and time if you ask me. I give it a could've been better rating. On the other hand, she has a nice comfortable office and she does seem to be passionate about dentistry but I couldn't say much about her work since I never received any work from her.
