Upon a recommendation from a friend, my husband and I hired Jonathan and his crew to:…read more- repair woodpecker siding damage on our chimney and exterior - replace exterior lighting - install new light fixtures in remodeled rooms - paint the exterior and trim of our house - scape popcorn ceilings in our large entry way, great room and bedrooms - resurface celings and paint them after scraping - paint bedrooms and quite tall great room We honestly couldn't have been happier with the results. They were very flexible with us when we paint change as well as while we were doing our own construction projects, the crew cleaned up each night (better than any contractor I've ever worked with), they installed all our new light fixtures to complete the remodel (because lord knows installing those things are the WORSE) and overall, Jonathan and his team were always very fair and professional. Would hire them again in a second and have already recommended them to friends looking to have general construction projects and painting projects completed.

I contacted Vail Builders after seeing them highly recommended on Angie's List. Jim Vail promptly returned my phone call and set up an appointment to measure the room and to meet with my wife and I regarding our ideas. In just a couple of weeks, Jim had created a set of preliminary plans and the most comprehensive contract I've ever seen. Jim is thorough and extremely detail oriented, which is exactly what you need in a general contractor. Jim is demanding of his subcontractors and responsive and fair to his clients. The results Jim helped my wife and I create are spectacular; they exceeded our expectations by a large degree. I will plan to hire Vail Builders for any and all of my future building needs.

Beyond thrilled with the project Redfin Renovations did at my family's 1950's cabin. Complete…read morerenovation of the screen porch (new floors, screen, doors and trim) as well as the addition of a new platform composite deck. Porch was built over 50 years ago so there was quite a bit of rehabbing to be done. I was really specific about what I was hoping the final result would look like and they didn't disappoint! We kept the old cottage feel and used traditional wood flooring in the porch along with a beautiful composite for the outdoor platform. We kept the cedar trim boards for the screen so they buffed them up to look like brand new cedar. This was for a special event we were having there so we were under a very tight time crunch (and the weather was being very rude): they met the time crunch AND did me a solid and were cognizant of several plants in their way. The few, small punch list items that needed to be done (they're always those on a project this detailed) were happily and promptly taken care of; down to the smallest of details. My inner OCD freak was smiling with satisfaction! I've come across a few examples of their work around town and at my friends' places, and they gave RR the two thumbs up. When a friend says "yes, use this contractor, they've proven it", it's the biggest reason to choose Redfin over all the others. Because we've all heard the horror stories, right? It's tough to know who to trust to do good work (much less phenomenal work as it was my case) as you shovel out hard earned dollars to them. All in all, my experience with Redfin Renovations has been an absolute 1000 out of 10 would recommend for any type of project. Thank you, Joey and crew!

We hired Justin to tile our main floor and upstairs showers during our renovation from shower…read moreinsert, and he knocked it outta the park! Justin is punctual, timely, and a great communicator. He walked us through every step of the renovation tiling project, from deciding on orientation and tips for certain formats, to picking out the edging style, grout color and everything in between. It was clear at each step what we needed to decide on and when by to keep the project on time. As you'd expect, Justin was in our home for several weeks to complete these two larger projects. He was very respectful of our home and space, and kept us updated as he worked on timing and what was next. His pricing is competitive, and for the quality, I'd pay it all again. There's no cheap way to un-do poorly done tile, so it's best to hire a quality tiler the first time around - and we felt very secure with trusting Justin with our bathrooms. And most importantly: he crushed it! The projects turned out amazing, and we couldn't be happier. It's a huge refresh to our spaces, and we love how the tile turned out. I can't IMAGINE the amount of math, mapping out, precision, and detail-orientedness that has to go into being a great tiler. Justin has all those qualities. If you're looking for a true pro that will work efficiently and finish with an amazing final product, connect with him!

Do not hire this company! They're new, and have no real professional experience, and you're…read morebasically a guinea pig for their projects. I hired them to remove and replace baseboards and door trim through Home Depot's Pro service. They double-booked the day my project was supposed to start and instead of rescheduling (which I offered), they sent the owner's brother-in-law - who doesn't even work for the company - into my home. He caused damage, and the work was sloppy and incomplete. The workmanship was terrible: - Boards weren't nailed securely - Large gaps between baseboards and walls - No caulking at seams - Only some nail holes filled - Some corners are mitered, others aren't - they're just boards stuck together for an unfinished, inconsistent look - They skipped spray painting the boards (as outlined in the contract), left several unpainted, and only painted the front face of others. After several text messages with Adam around my disappointment with the incomplete and sloppy work, they did offer to come back and fix things (contract has a workmanship guarantee) - but at that point, NO THANK YOU. The trust was gone, and I wouldn't feel comfortable letting them back in my home. I will likely have to rip half of it out and hire someone else to redo it - leaving me out a significant amount of money, and they don't care. Adam takes an 'Adam first' approach vs. a customer first approach as advertised. The finished product looks like a rushed DIY job I could've done myself. Unprofessional from start to finish.

The work is done and paid for. However, this team sent out…read morea person alone and they cut through my deck to place a gutter. The employee they sent did not ask us or their boss questions. We were in no real hurry but they went ahead and scheduled when the person was by himself and did not speak English. That language thing is not the issue...it is that they sent him alone knowing this. The fixes were made to some of the other work as it was done right the first time and this team made it seem like we should be happy they gave us something for free for it..some bracket for the gutter. There were times when -and I do understand family things that come up-that communication and follow up were awful. Lucky for us my husband works from home and can flex his schedule. We chose this team because they presented the scope of work so much better than anyone else and not based on the cost of the service alone. Too bad you didn't live up to that.
