In addition, this last visit was the worst. I got a huge burn on my face. I thought it would die down after the first night but it looks pretty bad now and I've had to go into work for big presentations trying to cover this up. I asked the stylist to tame it and we agreed to a spot about 3 inches, plus trim on the sides. I removed my glasses and said "I trust your judgement" which was a mistake. She worked on it and when she was done I put my glasses back on and my beard was less than an inch long. She said when she got to the spot we agreed to she thought it was still too wild so she kept trimming, without asking me. I didn't complain, because the damage was done and I thought it would grow back quickly, but a month later it's still much shorter than I want - and much shorter than we agreed to. If I can't trust a stylist while my glasses are off, I can't go back here.
