They violated their contract with my parents by only moving half of their belongings and then said…read morethat the condo was deemed a bio hazard. They have no proof of this and said that they have heard that there were over 10 calls to the police about the condo being a meth lab. They charged my parents 990.00 to move half of their items to their storage unit. They also charged her for 31 one items including using blankets to cover their items which they did not do. What they did take to the storage unit, they just threw it in there and didn't help manage the space and then told my parents that they were going to have to get another storage unit.

I have waited to write a review with hopes that Mike would work with us to come to a solution. That is not the case and I am here to at least help other consumers. Affordable Movers is not a company I would trust nor recommend to anyone due to how I was treated during discussions as well as the lack of accountability. We asked for some sort of resolution, even just covering the fee for the estimate for repair which Mike flat out refused. When we…read moremoved from PCB back to Canada, our stuff had to be put on U-Haul trucks, locked up for a week, then moved onto the actual truck bringing it to Canada. With the added "transfer" we were not looking forward to the results. When we unpacked back in Canada, we saw just how professionally and perfectly our stuff had been packed and loaded by the Van Horn staff. Out of 12,000 lbs of stuff, only one wine glass was broken. That was it. Nothing else damaged at all. Basically unheard of! Thank you to the amazing packers and loaders at Van Horn for taking such good care of our stuff. I was not able to get in touch with anyone about this so I had to make multiple trips to get a few boxes out of my unit since I was by myself. Also there is no trash area anywhere if you wanted to throw anything away. I feel that with the amount I spend per month we should able to throw away stuff somewhere.

After the 7th past and no movers we called Allied to find out when our furniture would arrive. Allied told us the truck had not yet left Panama City Beach because they didn't have a driver and it would be another week before we would receive our furniture. They didn't even have the courtesy of calling us to let us know. We had to leave multiple messages before finally getting a call back to let us know what the status was. Our agent has yet to return our call after leaving him 4 messages. If you use Allied do not plan on getting your furniture until a week later than their scheduled delivery date.
