We had never been here before, but thought we would check it out for the 49ers/Lions Conference championship game. After this visit we will have to find a new location for games. Whereas they have plenty of TVs, the major one is a projection screen and worked fine, but some of the smaller TVs were not functioning properly. Also, the seating is not the most comfortable. They have a section in front of the large TV with high tables but they have hard stools for seats. The bar has seats, but then you are sitting at the bar. We find a low table by the bar with backed seats. They were also hard plastic. I think we were anticipating too much for a Bar & Grill inside a Freeport Bowling Alley. There were two different bartenders working that night. One appeared to be a bartender/cook while the other filled every other roll. The bartender/cook was kind of rude and gave off the vibe she wanted to be anywhere else in the world and we were putting her out. The other one was friendly and helpful and was a joy to interact. As for the food. MEH. We started with Joe's Tatchos. These were unimpressive and bland. We've had better in many other places. Even the cheese tasted like generic canned cheese sauce. After I had Joe's Smoked Beef Brisket. I wish I had not. It was some of the fattiest brisket served on a generic hamburger bun. At least the brisket was tender and juicy, because there was almost some of the blandest food I've had, this includes hospital and nursing home food. My Girlfriend had the pulled pork sandwich, with the same issue. There was really no flavor to it. Even after adding BBQ sauce they had, neither was satisfying. Honestly, I've had tap water that had more flavor. Overall, Not impressed. It's not bad, but I've had so much better.

Not only was my food bad, but so was everyone else's that was with me. I ordered nachos and a hot dog. I ate most of the hot dog, but it was the cheapest quality ever. I would say they were a .59 cent per package. My client order grilled chicken sandwich and fries, and the other party ordered cheese curds. Also, my client I was with literally waited 40 minutes to get his sandwich after we were already done eating. They brought out all our food, but NOT his until 40 minutes later. CRAZY! You go out to eat together. Right? They did comp my clients meal, however charged me full price for Nachos because I ordered French fries, which I only ate few chips out Nachos any way. I feel that was completely unfair, but I was so livid I needed to leave. The meat was god awful. They said it was chili, but maybe caned chili. So freaking disgusting. They did have .99 sodas so that was nice. And their bloody Mary's looked cool.

A pretty busy place with locals and people from other areas. There's about what's expected on the menu it seems. Before even coming in there's a smell of barbecue. It's got a pretty full menu. There's a bar in the middle surrounded by plenty of tables. Beers are the main thing of course. It's about $7 a pint. Best one we had of these was the Coldstream Lager. This is a full bodied Bavarian style. A lot of the food is meaty. Brisket and that kind of stuff. Among the appetizers is the Cowboy Caviar. One of the few vegetarian options. This is a mixture of beans, cilantro, corn, jalapeños, red onions, and tomatoes. It's about $16 for the Tex-Mex Bowl. This has avocado, cilantro rice, Cowboy Caviar, marinated cucumbers, pico de gallo, and Thai sauce. Of course an option is to get it with meats added. There's plenty more things including burgers and pork belly tacos among the livestock based foods. For around here it's one of the better places for big crowds. It's got beers and barbecue along with some healthier options. They're closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

A place that can be loud or quiet. The menu has the basic things. Better than it looks to be honest. It's another one of these small town bars with mostly the same few locals. They have more room than expected with a few tables. Cleaner than one also expects. It's about $6 for a basic cocktail like whiskey mixed with whatever. A pretty limited food menu. It's about $6 for appetizers like the tater tots. Burgers are one of the meaty items. There's also things like onion rings. For sure it's one of the hangouts in town to watch games. It's in the middle of town close to the railroad. They also have a few specials.

We only intended to have a beer but he offered us a menu and we decided to split the Brisket Burger. It was so good! Wish this place was closer to our home. Can't beat $5 ice cold Octoberfest beers in August! Travis was great, the food was great & the place was clean. Check it out! You will love it!

When is a Panini not a panini? Well, when it isn't a Panini…read more The name "panini" is given to a grilled sandwich made from any type of bread. That's what I was expecting when I ordered their roast beef pesto panini sandwich, with sweet potato fries. It arrived sans grill marks. Whatever. My wife went with their Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap. She really liked her Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap. I showed her my "panini" and asked here "Does this look like a panini to you?" Nope, it did not. Anyway, so what did the non-Panini Panini taste like? The roast beef wasn't bad, but it also wasn't good. It was like lunchmeat. The pesto flavor was very light. It was served hot, but I had to salt it because it was so bland. The sweet potato fries were tasty. They had an unlimited soup and salad bar. The soup was okay, the salad was shredded iceberg lettuce with lots of other things to drop on it. Service was a bit slow for lunch since the bartender was also the waitress. The mens room must have been cleaned - when I used it, there was no smell and the fixtures were clean. The have at least 3 pool tables and some arcade games in the back. Lots of monitors playing various sporting events.
