Jennifer has provided me with several knee injections which has helped relieve my pain. She is a wonderful doctor and I'm proud to call her a friend. Dr. Satterfield did a knee replacement which most definitely improved my quality of life. I would recommend these providers without hesitation.

I made an appointment to be seen by one of the PAs. She had them x-ray my knee, to make sure there was no bone issue going on. After a physical exam, she told me that I was correct, it was a torn meniscus. She wanted me to get an MRI done to get a good look at it. She did not provide me with anything to help with my knee in the meantime. When I tore my left meniscus, I had been given a brace to wear by the doctor I saw at their Clemmons location. That helped me to continue to be able to walk. Luckily, I still had that brace, so I just wore it for the same amount of time I had been advised to the previous time. The MRI confirmed the tear. The surgeon I saw when I came in for the results of the MRI gave me two options. One was surgery, where they would use a scope to go into my knee and clean out the loose tissue. He said I would be out of work for 12 weeks, possibly less, if I felt well enough to go back sooner. The second option was physical therapy. He said there was a chance it might not help, and it was a very conservative approach to my condition. I almost felt like he was hoping I would say surgery. I opted for physical therapy. Luckily, it worked, and I do not need surgery.

From the time I walk into the door, I am greeted with a smile, checked in very professionally, and instructed where to sit. The lobby and ambiance of the office is beautiful! The inside is always very clean, and nicely designed to feel like a log cabin retreat. There are high ceilings with beautiful wood beams, and minimal comfy furniture. With the onset of COVID-19, staff regularly clean the seating and ensure that patients are masked and temperatures are monitored. My doctor at this practice is Dr. Schweppe. He preformed a rotator cuff and bicep surgery on my right arm in October, and everything went without complications. I am thankful for his meticulous and neat work, however my one complaint would be that when I asked for more help with managing my pain, he refused, saying his hands were tied due to "federal regulations". At that point my pain medication was only filled once since surgery, and he had already told me that this is a painful surgery that takes a while to recover from. I felt like he was unsympathetic to my very real pain and the fact that I needed relief and medical intervention. As a breast cancer survivor who suffers from chronic pain, and whose lymphadema had begun to flare because of the operation, I believe Dr. Schweppe should have, and could have, responded differently to my request. Since he declined to do so, I ended up having to get a referral outside of his office for pain management. Other than that, Dr. Schweppe and the team at Novant Orthopedics & Sports Medicine has been great to work with as I recover. From Kourtney and Jordan at the front desk, to Ms. Betty at checkout in the back, I can always count on getting a nice warm smile and some light and friendly banter while I wait for my information to be printed. My appointments are always on time, it is super easy to schedule appointments, and I believe I am kept abreast of my treatment plan, especially with the help of the MyChart application. If you have any orthopedic issues, I highly recommend the folks at Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. When you go by, tell them Kindra sent ya!
