The therapist are quite nice and easy to work with. They show you how to do it and watch you while you do it and I like that.

Constant Surprise Bills Overshadow Great Medical Care…read more Dr. Geddes is an exceptionally gifted surgeon. He performed a hybrid spine surgery for me in August after extensive research, second opinions, and many discussions. His skill, professionalism, and bedside manner are truly outstanding -- and my surgical outcome has been tremendous. I can't praise him and the surgery center enough. It was shocking how good it was! Unfortunately, that outstanding medical experience is completely overshadowed by the Center's billing practices. There are multiple separate entities involved -- the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and facility -- each billing independently. Because Blue Cross Blue Shield would only cover the fusion portion and not a hybrid procedure, I personally paid ~$21,000 upfront of my own money. Despite that, I continue to receive additional, unexplained bills that don't match any of their original estimates. And my insurance company (Blue Cross Blue Shield) can't explain this practice's billing either. Repeated requests for an itemized billing statement have gone unanswered, even though Tennessee law requires licensed hospitals and surgical centers to provide one within 30 days. When I escalated the issue, I was belittled by a billing employee, who said something to the effect that it was a "privilege" to be operated on there (because my situation was insurance + cash which they apparently don't typically deal with) -- an appalling comment considering I paid out-of-pocket for half the procedure. NONE OF THEIR BILLS MATCH ANY OF THIER ESTIMATES so nothing ties out. Its a mystery where these charges are originating. And when you and ask for a format that shows it all - the answer is, "no". I was assured multiple times that I would not receive further bills. Yet, weeks later, I continue to get new invoices (today's surprise is $1,345.29 and is the 3rd, different amount mystery bill). The lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. It's clear their billing systems are disjointed and antiquated, spread across multiple legal entities that do not coordinate or communicate effectively. It's truly unfortunate, because the surgeons, staff, and facilities are top-notch. If their billing process were as excellent and transparent as their medical care, this would easily be a five-star review. But as it stands, the constant surprise bills, missing documentation, and dismissive attitude make this a one-star experience. They are forcing me now to have to spend more time and more money escalating this. Patients deserve both world-class care and honest, transparent billing.

This is Dr. Rick Hutchingson's office and he is good. He is sort of gruff and pretty practical...no…read morenonsense comes to mind. But he knows his stuff and does it the right way. I had a knee replacement and did rehab alongside others who had different surgeons. From what I could tell (and I know everyone is different) Hutchingson's patient's did better as far as getting range of motion back, etc. Less pain too. He was good to give me work releases as well and that really saved me at my place of employment...they were trying to get me to come back before he cleared me and were threatening firing me. He wrote a letter and took care of things!!!!! GREAT office staff as well. I liked the offices being open different days in different towns, Cleveland, Etowah, or Athens. I preferred the Etowah location as it was slightly less hectic, but he does have MANY patients. His best office staff is named Frances....she is the best and funny as heck....just what you need when you are gimping around like I was. Thanks Dr. Hutchingson!!!!!

Don't get me wrong Dr. Radford is an awesome Doctor but since being purchase their front desk gives incompetence new meaning. Had a procedure scheduled at 1030 got there at 1010 and waited an hour. My wife went to the front desk three times to find out what the problem was but was never given an explanation nor would the three girls sitting and talking go to the back and find out the problem. Guess I'll give Sports Center for Medicine a try. Hate to not see Dr. Radford and his staff but this is totally unacceptable. People have jobs just like the three swaquking women and we need our jobs. A little help from those three would have been nice.

We had appointments last Monday at this office (Cleveland), we usually go to the Chattanooga office…read morebut due to the bad weather our appointments were cancelled. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I had been in the hospital a couple of weeks ago and get short of breath if I have to walk not far at all. I would like to thanks the nurse and Jeanie for their understanding and help to have me breath correctly when I am having difficulty and can't catch my breath. We didn't see Dr. Blake on this trip, but he has always been excellent when I've seen him and he has always been concerned when he does any procedure on me. Dr. Blake always explains what he will be doing and is always willing to answer any questions I or my family my have. Just wanted to say thank you to all in the Cleveland office!

First off I wish I could give two separate reviews; one for the staff and another for the head…read moredoctor. The staff is amazing. So much better than other pain management places I've been a patient. They are prompt at insurance paperwork, prior approvals, phone calls and are polite in demeanor and care. That said, Dr. Blake is the complete opposite. I do not know why he is a pain care Doctor. As far as I can tell he hates us as pain patients. He does not care how much pain we are in or how that pain affects our daily lives. He will not budge on how much he prescribes even though the law and insurance says all you have to do is fill out a form stating why said patient needs said medication...he will not do it no matter what that's it. Also, my script was prewritten by e-script to be filled on a Sunday at a Walgreens in Germantown on Brainerd Rd. It was flooded due to heavy rains and closed. if you know anything about controlled substances, you can't transfer the scripts and you can't fill them early. You have to fill that day. We called the on-call doc to have them transfer the script to another Walgreens that was open to have it filled and it was Dr. Blake. Well, he said NO. He doesn't work on the weekends and told us to call back when the office was open on Monday. My husband told him "why would you write a script for a Sunday if you have no intention of helping us getting that script filled in case of emergency? My wife is out of medication and the pharmacy is flooded?" Dr. Blake responded that he told his staff not to write scripts for the weekend so it's on them not him and hung up. Dr. Blake has no compassion for pain patients. He doesn't care about the plight that we are in and he know that he is the one with the power and we are helpless. The laws are written to keep us in pain and helpless and to keep men like Dr. Blake hungry for money and power. I pray you find a better more compassionate place for help.
