I came into the office more than once in tears from all the pain from rotator cuff surgery on my left shoulder. Casey (don't know her last name) was so encouraging and sympathetic to my needs. Most therapists have said, "Oh well, too bad, lets start our exercises for the day," with no sympathy or empathy concerning me. Casey also mentioned a time or two that she was taking courses on the weekends to be a better therapist. I want to thank her for taking time out of her weekends to improve her craft.
