I've patronized this branch many times over the last couple of years. The convenience of its location--tucked away near the movie theaters of Glorietta--and low pricing lend the business much of its stability.
Experience (and ridiculous kikay-dom) has taught me not to trust most haircutters, especially those in mid-level salons, with more complicated hairstyles, so I only ever go to Bench Fix for hair coloring services and eyebrow threading. And even then, I only go when it's the nearest and cheapest salon.
I've found that since colorists here don't really go through any real accreditation processes, I get pretty much the same disappointing results anywhere I go. It doesn't matter if I paid 15,000 pesos or 500 (I've done both); it's always hit or miss, and unfortunately more often the latter.
Bench Fix Salon is no different. Once I got a really good eyebrow threader, and then another time they made me look mataray. So consistency is something I can't really vouch for.
What I keep coming back for though are their prices. For at least a thousand bucks (depending of course on hair length), I can get my hair dyed an uncomplicated color, whatever the shade of the month is.
I don't patronize the branch enough nor was ever ecstatic enough about the results of my visit to have A Stylist to Recommend there, but yeah, when in doubt and low on cash, Bench Fix is a pretty safe place to go. read more
