As a result, we had to make emergency accommodations and significantly disrupt our plans - diverting our tour to an out-of-town location, which was severely deleterious to our plans for a meal and a show in Westport. It's common to say "would give no stars if I could", but here there's some merit to the assertion - their failures caused impact to our visit extending outside the hotel, a rare thing for even a bad hotel to accomplish. Trusting this hotel to not hurt your visit to the town itself would be a mistake, so yes this in fact does deserve the "zero star" moniker.

The rooms, bathrooms and the house in general very welcoming and clean. She prepared a breakfast next morning incredibly good! In addition, Mary helped us to decide what to visit in the zone. I think the price was something like 35€ each and a little bit less for children. I'll go to this B&B for sure if I ever go back to Westport!

Beautiful house, beautiful location, beautiful hostess, great place!

I spent several days here and it was wonderful. It's quiet and spotlessly clean. The beds and…read morepillows were comfortable, the hot water and water pressure in the bathroom plentiful, and I was especially appreciative of the light-blocking curtains on bright Irish nights. There is free wi-fi. Maureen is a lovely host -- friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The included breakfast was delicious and generous -- she had almost anything you could possibly want. The B&B is just a short walk (maybe 10 minutes) into the center of town. I promise I don't work for her. My friends and I just really could not have asked for more. We even told some expats we met in town that it was the perfect place to lodge the parents when they came to visit. I suppose if I have to say something bad, I will note that there is no sidewalk the first 50 yards or so on the road into town--just a gravel shoulder--and there aren't street lights, so you may not want to do the walk at night (although we did).

This B&B is really more the size of a guesthouse. Maureen (sp?) and her husband own and run All The…read moreTwos (their phone number has a whole bunch of the number 2....). There are 12 rooms on two floors. There is an elevator up to the second floor along with a large impressive staircase. The sitting and dining areas downstairs are very nice and comfortable. The breakfast served is a choice of options made to order, and of course the traditional Irish breakfast. The proprietors are attentive and warm to whatever you ask and the room was fine. I want to point out that the booking service for All The Twos showed only two types of rooms... those with "Doubles" and those with Twins. My wife and I sleep in a Queen bed and prefer a king. When they didn't have Queens, we went with the twins. However, when we mentioned this to Maureen, she informed us that all the "non-twins" rooms in All the Twos were actually queen size beds, and we informed her that the listing service does not say that. We would have chosen differently. Keep this in mind... non-twin rooms are Queens, not doubles. Our only complaint with All the Twos is that the proprietors are, unfortunately, not tech savvy, and Clifden is not near much help with WIFI systems. My wife and I were traveling with five WIFI-enabled devices: 2 iPADS, 2 iPhones, and an HP laptop and they are critical to our existence (it seems). I needed the laptop to be able to communicate with my business's mainframe computer system through some VPN software. My laptop WIFI was never able to communicate with the WIFI system and never "saw" the system at all. My wife's and my Apple products would connect or not connect randomly and without any logic. They apparently have the main WIFI router downstairs, and then a repeater upstairs, but the signal in our room would vary from no bars at all (and no connection) to two bars (with or without a connection, randomly). Commonly, the apple products would not connect when first turned on or returned to the B&B and then if you left them alone for an hour or more, one or two would randomly "connect". I'm sure Maureen is mystified by the operation of the WIFI, and it was hard for me to understand their system also, although I am pretty tech savvy. My laptop and all our Apple devices worked perfectly at the places before and after All the Twos, so it is pretty clear it is a problem here and not elsewhere. However, if you don't need heavy-duty internet access or are not traveling with enough computer power to land a lunar lander on the moon, then everything else is just as nice as you could want. This is a great place otherwise.
