The idea of a soup/salad/sandwich combo in some permutation of those choices was the perfect thing. I decided to go really wild and try the quiche of the day, a leek and bleu cheese quiche, as well as a bowl of the sweet pepper soup. With both items warmed up, it was just the thing to chase the chill in the air away. If the stuffed sweet pepper soup is on the menu when you visit, order it with confidence. It was the perfect balance of a little sweet a tiny touch of heat, and hearty enough to be filling. The quiche wasn't my favorite (I think I'm just too partial to a quiche Lorraine to be adventurous with other ones), but it was still good. Served with a cookie on the side, it was a filling and delicious meal. The owner was friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for the menu and chit-chatting with us as we ate that day. At the end of the meal, she even offered to recycle my Diet Coke can from lunch that day -- the eco-friendly aspect definitely gave the place a boost in my mind! I'm already looking forward to my next visit to the lake, and another helping of that sweet pepper soup!

They have good burgers, but my go-to is the chicken sammich with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and pickle with an order of mozzarella sticks with ranch for $10.18. The chicken is always tender and juicy and the mozzarella sticks are so flavorful and probably the best mozzarella sticks I've had in Hillsdale County. Side note: if you want to switch it up a little you can do the crispy chicken in a wrap with ranch and add a side of mozzarella sticks for only $9.65. 10/10 recommend this place.

I ordered a regular size cone and definitely could have gotten the junior- at some places junior cones are really really tiny for little kids, but my regular was pretty huge so I'm guessing the junior is just a normal sized cone at this place!
