Not a Fan of the Service Here…read more I'm not sure what's going on, but the "manager" Gabriel needs to work on his people skills. Walked in looking for a specific book, and he practically barked at me to ask what I wanted. Not exactly the welcoming atmosphere I'd expect from a bookstore. He didn't even bother to help me find the book I was looking for, just grunted and pointed me in the general direction of the shelves. Definitely won't be back. 0/5 stars from me.

It is impossible to even sit down and enjoy a good book or write a College Paper, without being encumbered by the suffocating energy of the local folk. The things they talk about are so damn mind numbing. I honestly wonder how most of this town survived infancy to be honest. Sitting inside the Franklin Square Books A Million feels like the equivalent of stuffing my brain into a Dyson vacuum cleaner. Literally. Just the other day I was in here picking up a copy of Don Quixote and the cashier is rambling for several minutes about Count Dooku from Star Wars, completely unprofessional and creepy as all hell to be honest. **Fun Fact** in Mexico Sancho is a rapist/philanderer but in the book he is a Squire. Ironic? Yeah. I think so too. The other staff are actually quite helpful. I like the old lady who works at the café, I think she runs a witches coven in her off time. She actually headed me my candy blasted frappé and told me that she could read minds. . bottom line this place is weird and enter at your own risk. Run for your lives folks. Or go to the Barnes and Noble at Carolina Place. Ask about the coffee for dead soldiers !!

I'd just broken my charging cable - a common enough USB to USB-C cable used for many Android phones. But none of the 3 Charlotte's Landing stores from Gate E45 back to the E Rotunda had even one replacement in stock. My phone charge was running out at midday and I had another flight of hours ahead of me. At the store in E Rotunda I met a woman named Antoinette. When I told her how tired and frustrated I was (half of CLT's moving sidewalks were out of service and it's a long walk with luggage) she asked if I'd like her to charge my phone from their charger behind the counter. There were other staff present, an Asst Mgr named Rayne helped, too, and a Mgr named Pear came through and took note that those cables should be restocked. But Antoinette was kind and helpful and made pleasant conversation for the 20 or so minutes while she charged my device, while ringing up sales promptly and never once failed to personally greet every person who came in. She saved my day. She's a great employee and I'm so glad I met her.

And a huge selection of calendars and childrens books. If you're looking for a gift, you'll do well at Calendars Games & Toys. Prices were decent enough. It's an outlet mall and they seem to understand that it won't do well at full retail. Service was good. Figures, board games, Nerf, Legos, you name it really. The prices seemed a little bit steep though that was kinda to be expected. You have the everyday toys mixed into the items that people often consider collectibles here. Lots of Star Wars, for example, on the overpriced "collectibles" side of things. Or think *fill-in-the-blank* edition of Risk, Monopoly, etc. for board games. There are a lot of puzzle games too, on that note. Where you fit pieces of wood or metal together to impress people or keep your ADHD occupied. Stuffed animals of all kinds (Pokemon in particular) and toys for even the youngest kids. The shopkeeper was just one guy who spent the entire time on his phone. Not very talkative or engaging unless you went up to talk to him first. He did give me a discount on a Lego box that was damaged however. Discounts on Legos just don't exist so I was happy to oblige. It's great to have this place here as a break from all the clothes shopping.

You can tell it was started by someone that LOVES comics and the geek life. Which means they are my people. I enjoy talking with the young man who usually works when I make my monthly pilgrimage. I appreciate this place and I usually end up spending more than I originally intended to. I don't mind supporting them because I want them to be around for a very long time. If you're in the area, check them out!
