We used Tina for full wedding planning 18 mos prior to my daughter's wedding. She fell short of our…read moreexpectations on several levels. 1. First, the pros: She was pleasant and it was very helpful that she knew the venue and caterer well and worked there often (we had selected both prior to hiring her.) Since we lived out of town, our availability for in person meetings with vendors was challenging. We appreciated that she was able to schedule our tasting with the caterer during their busy season (not typically done.) She also worked regularly with the Entertainment company (suggested by her) and she was a helpful in communicating our concerns days before the wedding. Aesthetically her design suggestions were quite nice. 2. Now the cons: during planning she often took several weeks to respond to emails. I gave her the benefit of the doubt (our event was months away and she is a one-woman operation.) However, her communication was still unacceptably slow in the few months before the wedding - and on the wedding day when numerous calls went unanswered. When problems arose, I had trouble finding her during the cocktail hour/reception. 3. She didn't check invoices from vendors. Had I not reviewed the floor plan and personally counted all of the tables/sizes, I would have overpaid for the linens by nearly 50%. 4. We wanted a carnival-type claw machine (mentioned in our first interview.) Four months before the wedding, she said she was not able to find one. With 15 minutes searching online my daughter easily found a vendor. Apparently, Tina didn't even do a simple Google search. She was able to suggest vendors, but only if she had previously worked with them. Several florists Tina recommended were not a good fit for my daughter's vision. Ultimately my daughter found a florist herself who was perfect. 5.Tina used Aisle Planner to create a seating chart with numbered seat positions for every table, which I carefully completed. Sadly every guest's seat (except the head table) was in the wrong place. We put significant time and effort into creating our seating plan, taking into account family member's proximity to the bride/groom, guests sitting next to friends, elderly guests being farther away from loud music, who had the best view, etc. REALLY frustrating to discover that more than 100 guests were in the wrong place. 6.At least one name on the escort wall (very expensive custom-made item) was misspelled. It's unclear whether Tina provided the vendor with the wrong spelling or they made the mistake. Only Tina had direct contact with the vendor, and she has refused communication after the wedding to clarify. 7. We rented an Audio Guest book (old fashioned phone) to record personal messages from wedding guests. At the end of the cocktail hr I was told it wasn't working and I quickly notified Tina. It was finally working 3 hours into the evening. Follow up communication from the company proved the device was never turned on, despite clear and simple instructions in the box. I'm sure Tina must realized it was not turned on, but she never explained or apologized for the mistake. 8. Tina failed to keep us on the timeline she helped create. Some of that was due to family speeches/toasts going longer than planned and we took full responsibility for that. She failed on numerous other elements of the timeline: ceremony started 10 min late even though the wedding party was staged & waiting for 45 min beforehand, after the ceremony the bride and groom were kept back by the photographer/videographer much longer than scheduled, and guests were ushered from cocktails to reception 25 min late despite bars being closed at the end of the cocktail hour. 9. She NEVER ONCE asked about bouquet preservation during our 18+ mos of planning. My daughter intended to preserve her bouquet and booked a vendor 6 mos in advance, unfortunately we forgot to mention it to Tina. After the wedding Tina left the bouquet inside a plastic bin that she knew we weren't permitted to pick up until 2 days after the wedding. Had she even thought to ask me at the conclusion of the reception I would have taken the bouquet with me. As our FULL wedding planner, this is a huge failure! Our event was 130 guests, six figures and at the upper end of the price range she typically handles for full wedding planning (per info she provided in our initial interview.) The evening had numerous surprises and unconventional elements, which Tina was aware of weeks to months in advance. It's my opinion that she was over her head coordinating the many details, was understaffed on the wedding day and was unable to handle everything. In our initial interview she said she brings 1-2 assistants on the wedding day. No idea whether she brought help since she never introduced me to anyone else. If your event is pretty standard, doesn't have complicated details, and you're okay with limited and/or slow communication, Tina's probably fine, but check all invoices and quantities carefully!!

Sadly I am the one whose vision was not fulfilled. Moral of the story I was unfortunately told that…read morefulfilling my vision via my decor was not something that is guaranteed to be done in this company's contract! I first started with a different coordinator who told me up front that she didn't set up all the decor which is the main reason i went searching else where after talking everything over I was so comfortable and confident in this company. I was very thorough by explaining all of the decor I had purchased for the event. I set things up in my phone and sent pictures as well as discussing and drawing out in person. The day of I also had everything organized into storage boxes labeled as well as everything in the box labeled so that there was no question as to what needed to be done! Decor is everything to me and I spent countless hours for a year planning and searching for everything for my day!! Well needless to say my day was ruined by decor. I had at least 4 boxes that had never been touch or even attempted to be opened. I was at the venue all day as our bridal suite was there prior to getting ready I went out to take a peak multiple times, each time Bryce was walking around talking to the vendors I thought we had plenty of time as she kept assuring us that she didn't need any help. I urged her multiple times prior to the day and the day of to come and get me if she needed anything or needed any help reminding her that helping with the decor would actually be soothing to me. This was never done. My entire wedding party was ready to go and we were waiting on Bryce to finish getting things up. A couple minutes prior to this they were loading decor never opened into the grooms lounge when my groom got my bridesmaids and mother/mother in law and sent them out to set things up because none of it was done. My wedding was delayed because the decor was not set up. The pictures and things we talked about never got accomplished she took it into her own hands to set up things how she felt they should be thrown together. No one wants their wedding day thrown together, if there was issues as I expressed earlier I wish she would have come to someone and asked for help as myself, my wedding party, my mother AND mother in law all tried to help her and she told them she had it under control not to worry until the last moment when they saw she did not. I saw Bryce when I was walking down the aisle after that I saw Bryce two more times the whole night. Thankfully she wrote out a timeline that my band had because they announced everything. As I said I did not see her the whole night. I had multiple people ask me if it was her first wedding including my photographer who knew my vision and was fixing multiple decor pieces of mine as well as helping Bryce and her assistant set everything up the correct way. Throughout the entire night i was noticing things being set up wrong and fixing them or asking Bryce's assistant to fix them for me!!! INSANITY!!!! I don't know where my day went wrong but at this rate I wish I went with another company!!! To make matters worse I brought this attention to Tina she respectfully answered promptly and was very concerned. After speaking with Bryce she informed me that my vision being fully set up wasn't in the contract but because of the things that happened to my day she was going to refund me $300.. $300 out of $1,500. She said she believed this was fair. I believe the only person it is fair to is her company. I would have paid double the amount for my wedding to have been set right and to have had my day perfectly. I spent more than $1,500 on the decor that was never even touched in the unopened boxes! The entire thing is very sad to me and the fact that this is the compensation I get is also very disappointing. My wedding day was beautiful and amazing but the credit is not due to this company for that. I pray this doesn't happened to anyone else and am so sad that it happened to me.

On the day of the wedding, I was genuinely relaxed. They handled so much behind the scenes and made it all look effortless. I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Allie and Savannah! They went above and beyond and were such a big part of making the day run perfectly. Rob and I appreciate you guys so much. Truly, the entire team was incredible. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and everything went off without a hitch. The food was amazing (we did the plated meal), the drinks were strong, and the Photo Booth was a huge hit! Most importantly, we had such a fun, unforgettable time. Everyone has been telling us how perfect everything looked and how much fun they had (and we can be a rowdy crew, haha). We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate. Highly recommend!

From the very first planning meeting to the last dance of the night, we felt genuinely cared for. As two busy working professionals, the structure and support from Wedgewood Weddings & Events made our planning process feel manageable and bite-sized instead of overwhelming. Every step was organized, clear, and thoughtful. It allowed us to actually enjoy being engaged instead of drowning in spreadsheets. Sarah, Virginia, and Savannah were phenomenal. Truly. They anticipated needs before we even voiced them, answered every question with patience, and made us feel like our wedding was the only one that mattered. On the day of, Savannah in particular took such intentional care of both me and Kevin. She checked in constantly, kept things flowing seamlessly, and made sure we were present instead of stressed. As chefs and hotel people, service is everything to us. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The team followed our directions perfectly, respected our vision, and executed it beautifully. A moment that meant the world to us was watching the service staff go above and beyond to help my autistic nephew find something "safe" to eat during dinner. That kindness and awareness is not something you can train into people. It's heart. We also loved the intentional use of small businesses throughout the process. You can feel that Alexander Homestead values community and craftsmanship, and that matters. Our day felt seamless, warm, and deeply cared for from start to finish. We walked away not just married, but genuinely grateful. If you're considering this venue, stop looking. You've found it.
