Each season, every holiday, all childhood milestones - they have props for it. Locations get sent seasonal /holiday props from corporate. There are cupcakes for birthdays, trucks for toddlers, lemonade stands for kindergarteners. They keep a library of props for every dang occasion you can think of. Hella cute! I like that there are no sitting fees. If your kid wants to throw a tantrum or just insists on smiling like a chimp, you're out $0, need to buy nada and can just leave. Come back when your kid is ready to cooperate. Groupon and Livingsocial offer deals but I have had problems using the deals before they expire. It's not a big difference from their daily specials so just skip the couponing! Wish they sold digital images individually though. If you want one image, it'll cost you $150 (you get a DVD with all images). Opt for a package which includes the DVD and this might bring your bill down to $120. Plus they throw in a few sheets and a large wall frame. I always get suckered into spending ~$120. How can you say no to smiling baby pictures? You can't! That's how they stay in business!!

Since her passport is due for a renewal, it was time for a comeback. We met Omar who is now running the joint. He was very apologetic about the "mess" (which wasn't THAT much of a mess) as he is still trying to reorganize now that he's in charge. He reported that Gary passed away a few weeks ago (I was bummed because I would have liked to have met him!) Omar spoke affectionately about Gary and what a wonderful mentor he was. After a bit of chitty-chatty, pictures were taken. I got the chance to look around and saw Gary's achievements - from meeting Maxine Waters to doing Tom Bradley's portrait. He seemed like a cool cat. They were punctual, efficient, professional, and just a wonderful team to cover everything at our wedding. It worked out really well because Dipan was with the groomsmen as they were getting ready while Carissa was with us (the bride + bridesmaids), so that even though we had less than an hour for getting ready shots, they managed to get everything we needed. We had gotten married at Wayfarers, and if anyone knows about that venue, it is that the chapel has a lot of rules/time limits. Dipan is one of their recommended vendors, so we were grateful that he knew the rules well and knew exactly when/where to take the pictures so that we wouldn't miss a thing. Eddie and Alex were right on time, at both locations before the wedding (for the bride getting ready, and groom getting ready). And that's not easy as he drove from LA to San Diego for our wedding. As soon as they arrived, they got right to work. They took control when it was needed, angled us for the best shots and caught so many wonderful memories! We were fortunate to get married on the beach and the sunset photos Eddie and Alex captured are absolutely breathtaking! We also hired them for the photo booth and their photo booth is not your typical one - it is a full on studio style setup with Alex taking the photos! Great shots and memories were made! When we were searching for a wedding photographer, one of our non-negotiables was to receive every photo taken, even if it was an accidental shot of the grass. We wanted everything. Most photographers we spoke to would not agree to this. But Eddie was open to it and worked with us on it and ended up giving us ~3600 photos (40GB)! Two Fourteen is run by an amazing couple (Virath and Krizelle) and they had an equally awesome second photographer with them (Esther). They offered us a great 10 hour coverage package which included up to 2 hours of non-wedding activities, versatility in flying out, an extra photographer, sneak peek photos within 2 days and so much more. If you want timeless, candid, light / airy, elegant, professional and crispy photos :), look no further. With their beautiful photography as well as their welcoming / fun personality, contagious smiles, and sheer enthusiasm, it made for an easy choice. We felt comfortable and confident as they created timelines, schedules, meetings and provided constant updates. They went above and beyond to accommodate and even got down on the dance floor after a couple of drinks ;). They are some of the most passionate people we have ever seen work: they glow with enthusiasm, are fun, personable and professional. Virath shines with his passion and love for photography, Krizelle is a gem who is clear and organized and Esther is fun, concise and meticulous. If you want "choreographed" photos... easy-peasy. Krizelle had an emergency pack on her that had Advil / Tylenol which came in handy as the bridal party had a migraine come on in the middle of the day. 4. While we were getting ready, any coordination that needed to happen with vendors, they handled it for us (e.g. reaching out to our wedding planners and flower vendors to ensure florals were brought over for detail photos). 5. They helped pose us for almost all of our photos, fixed our hair, fluffed dresses, got us drinks, and more. Something you don't realize is that your photographers are there with you for pretty much every moment of your day (more so than any other vendor - even your wedding planner). They're like your personal assistants and secondary wedding coordinators, not to mention your personal hype-men throughout the entire day. After planning a wedding for over a year, it was truly a pleasure and a weight off of our shoulders to have such a dedicated team instill confidence in our decision.
