Reception is always kind, professional & friendly. The stylist I'd seen for years left the area. I drove by this salon all the time & decided to give it a try. The first several appointments went well, until one day Sierra cut my already short hair super short, even with the picture open on my lap. After about 4 months, it grew out & I got back to the style I wanted. I didn't go back & make a public fuss about it. I simply & quietly texted her to let her know this cut was much too short. She insisted that she followed the previous cut, but... did you? Really? The style finally restored, I went in a week ago for a cut & color touch up. No need to dry & style it, I left the salon with wet hair. When it dried, my medium-brown hair was coal black! Again, I quietly texted her to tell her it's much too dark & it will need to be lifted at my next appointment. Her next text was defensive & didn't make much sense, telling me this was her way of treating the faded ends. I explained that it didn't work. The ends are still lighter & the right side is significantly lighter than the left. It took several days, but she finally returned the text saying I can come back in to lift it, but she wouldn't color it ever again. Additionally, she has cancelled my appointment in August & I should find a new stylist. She made it sound like the super short cut months ago was my fault & somehow, this extra dark & uneven color is also my fault. Moral of the story: High Maintenance is a lovely, welcoming salon & I would recommend you try it. But if you happen to get assigned to Sierra, do yourself a big favor & request a different stylist.

I highly recommend them, and by all means really discuss what you want--and bring in pictures of what you DON'T want as well, because it makes a world of difference in both you and the hair artist being on the same page. By some crazy miracle, Brittany H had an opening and I made it my business to be there. The salon is beautiful- the people are super friendly, and I love my haircut. Brittany gives the best and most stress relieving shampoo I've had in my life. I'll be back- we love to visit the area and I'll be sure to book an actual appointment next time. Totally worth it. Out of respect, I'm not going to mention who took care of me but when I was being shampooed, she got just as much in my ears as she did on my scalp because she made no effort to go around my ears. That was strike one. Strike two was the fact that even though I had spoken with this person earlier in the day, she never mentioned that she only accepted cash, which most people now a day's don't carry. Thankfully, I just happened to have some on me but what would she have done if I didn't? As I stated, I'm new to the area and it was my very first visit. I doubt very seriously if she would have agreed to let me find an atm, which would have charged me a fee because I haven't switched banks as of yet. Strike three was the fact that she took it upon herself to decide where to part my hair without asking me, her paying customer, what my preference was (my back was to the mirror so I couldn't see what she was doing).
