I took my daughter to get her hair cut here. She is 11 and she has been asking to go to the salon for grown ups. Her past experiences have been basic run of the mill cost cutters, etc. so, I decided to take her to where I get my hair done. Olivia was her stylist and the two of them discussed what she wanted. My daughter even had a photo of the long layered style she wanted. Olivia gave her the full experience of wash, cut, blow dry, and style with using the curling iron. My daughter was so excited to be treated as if she was grown. Olivia did a great job! My daughter and I both loved the end result! The price was fantastic, only $30. Recommended by a friend who had a great experience there...My friend and I not so much...we booked 2 manicures, 2 hair cuts and 1 with color...we had booked a makeup session as well.. but that never happened. The hair stylist just seemed to not understand how to cut short hair on either of us! Worst cut I have received in a long time. My friend was attending a special party that night and was so excited to have her hair done for her...It took over an hour just to trim and blow dry it, that did not include the other hour and half for the color..and it did not look anything all like the picture we gave the stylist in the first place!! Feeling our frustration, some of the other attendants were trying to help our stylist, but she wouldn't let them help. Very disappointing. Because of the time it took, my friend was not able to get her makeup done.. Again.. disappointing. Will not be returning.. Did not mention any names because if you have long straight hair like most of the pics on the website...you'll be lucky. read more

Cute place and if you get McKenzie you are in luck otherwise you are treated as an afterthought. My sister when in for an updo for an event and McKenzie did a wonderful job. So we booked a session a few weeks out for updos and makeup. We were going to have family portraits done and then go to the Black and White ball. We discussed the very specific look we were going for. McKenzie was off that day so I was booked with Lindsey and my sister was booked with Taylor. My first bit of concern and big red flag should have been when the person behind the desk said :ohh you booked with Lindsey" I asked was that a problem and they stumble through a no she is okay routine. On the day of our appointment we arrived a few minutes early. I found out that both of us had been changed to someone else. Taylor was tied up doing the hair of young girl (her mom was working the front desk) and when asked were Lindsey was the person just shrugged their shoulders. My first concern is that we had a very specific time we had to be out because we had an appointment with the photographer. The young girl tried her best but was very new and could not achieve the look we were trying for. Several time she had to ask from someone else but was still struggling. An hour later she passed me off to someone because her appointment came. My hair is still not finished and no one has started my sister's. We sat and waited for a bit. Taylor came over and started her make up and someone else started her hair and worked at it between her other clients. It was not the look we were going for but at least it would be finished and look nice. Taylor did a beautiful job but again it was a matter of getting our hair done in between who ever had time. We pointed out multiple times what our time frame was and we had to leave. Taylor started on my make up 15 minutes after we were supposed to leave. She did her best but was rushed. Long story short neither the curls nor the eyelashes lasted beyond 30 minutes of leaving the salon. We paid $240 to be treated like we were a bother. I tried to someone and it did not help the situation. I have since found out that Lindsey is the owner and she doesn't really keep her appointments. When the staff basically tells you how bad the owner is it should be a sign that you are not in the right place. read more

I've been a client of Lindsey's for about 7 years and have followed her from her salon in Gulfport to her new salon in Pass Christian and have never been happier than on my days spent at both places! The atmosphere at Elysian is so glamorous feeling and clean looking it makes you feel special just walking in the door. In addition to my hair services with Lindsey, I've also gotten facials and microsermabrasion done with Jess and she's a miracle worker! Always feeling welcomed in a salon is the first step to looking and feeling beautiful and Elysian never disappoints! World Class Service! They pamper and have knowledgeable staff in every station. Love Ally! Best on hair. Love that this is a one stop shop and you can get nails, hair, barber and more. Very good on appts and customer service. I don't need to look further to get everything I want in a great salon!!
