My children have been coming to this daycare since 2018 the owner of this facility has made tremendous updates. The director Ms. Vonnie is very professional and understanding and my children love coming here. The first week my grandson attended this facilty, he didn't come home with many learning stories, just a lot of songs....then he comes home and sings this song we looked up called "tooti ta". I am irate that this song would even be incorporated into a childs day AT ALL. Upon listening to said song, i felt my IQ lower. when my grandson told his teacher of my displeasure, she told him I am not her boss. Well, I am currently looking for another Pre-k. We sent him there to LEARN and apparently they do not care about the parent/grandparent approval of what he learns. I fou d their response to be inappropriate and unprofessional. Took 200$ of my money for after school wrap around care that they said would be prorated for only the days I used for the first week (which was a total of two days) and then told me they would credit my account for the rest of the money to be used for following weeks. The teacher told me it was no problem if I came a few minutes late directly from work and she would work with me. When I arrived at 5:03 pm to pick up my child, the next morning I was told a completely different story. That picking her up even 3 minutes after 5pm was not allowed. I told them it takes me 30 minutes to get there from work and it would not be possible to pick her up before 5 and I would like to disenroll my child from aftercare and get my money back minus the two days she was watched. Not only did they refuse to return my 110$ dollar registration fee. They also refused to return the rest of my 200$ for services that were never rendered! My child only stayed there two days total. The place does not follow regulations properly. They do not give receipts when you drop off money for wrap around care, and there place for the Headstart program is hidden in the back, has an unsafe and filthy entrance and no security. They treat the low income people in the Headstart program like they are untouchables, who have to walk through dirt to get to their class. Not to mention all the mosquitos that fly around and bite you while you are waiting to drop off your child. They even hired an assistant for the Headstart program who had a fake resume, she was never vetted properly and was allowed to be the assistant teacher without even having had her background vetted! Who knows who is working with these kids and how safe or unsafe they are. Horrible place with a terrible Director who is unprofessional and was yelling at me and talking and saying derogatory words to me, probably because I am not white. Don't leave your child here unless you want to risk their life in the hands of unprofessional, unvetted and unethical people. The owner Ms Doshi is just as bad as her Director. I can see why Doshi hired Ms Vonita (Vonny). They are both unethical liars and cheaters who want to take money from single mothers. read more
