I feel like I was a bit bamboozled. I bought a Groupon for the introductory set of lashes (their website says this is 60 per eye). When we were trying to figure out which lashes I should get, she was trying to convince me to get an 11 when my lashes are naturally a 10. I've gotten 11s before at another place and it didn't look like there was much of a difference, so I told her I wanted 12s. She said that if I get 12s with only 60 lashes, it might look like there are gaps in my lashes. I didn't want that so I was persuaded to upgrade to premium for an extra $20, which is 80 lashes per eye. She was trying to get me to upgrade even more, but I declined since I've gotten 70s at other places and it looked full and great. She was also trying to convince me not to do cat-eye because the ends would "fall off quicker". Again, I've done plenty of cat-eyes elsewhere and it was fine. I am no eyelash noob. The procedure was fine but it was really quick. It only took 40 minutes, which is odd because I've gotten fewer lashes at other places, but it took almost twice as long. That makes me think that I didn't get the full 80, especially since my lashes don't really look like they got the 80. I sucked it up and left because I didn't want to say anything since I assumed she would just try to get me to upgrade again. I mean don't get me wrong, they do look nice but just not as full/long as I was expecting them to look. Maybe they look down upon Groupons here and don't give Groupon customers as good of a service as full-paying customers. Who knows? But I won't be back to find out. Oh well! Let's see how long these lashes last and see if they'll stand the test of my upcoming Mexican beach vacation. read more

Would not recommend coming here, severely under qualified technician! It saddens me that there are technicians out there that dupe people just for money. BelleLash does not focus on safe techniques in removal or application. Throughout my appointment I continuously was poked in the eye, the technician Angie repeatedly lashed lashes accidentally throughout my appointment which was caused her to peel and break apart the glue during my application which was extremely painful. She did not use any lights or even a magnifying glass during my appointment which is probably the reason why her application was so sloppy. Woke up with sore red eyes and I'm hoping it's not from an eye infection although, I don't know if it's carelessness of not sanitizing her tools and lack of education. Either way it's horrific and I strongly urge to find another place than here! Even with all of that that's not my issue with this "studio". I understand that most technicians on the east coast do not work on top of other technicians work so when I was told I needed a full removal I understood. I explained to Angie the exact lashes I typically use and showed multiple photos of what I wanted. I told her that I wanted exactly what I had currently just fuller. She explained that she would have to make "clusters" or fans because she didn't have them. After reassuring me multiple times she could give me the look she began to remove my lashes. I ended up leaving with a classic set, which Angie continuously argued with me that she put over 160 lashes on me. Again, goes into lack of education. I ended up leaving with less lashes than I had come in with and I had to refuse to leave until I was fuller. It's obvious Angie asks her clients to post review which is completely deceiving. $140.00 later I have to go somewhere else to have my lashes removed, once the swelling and redness goes down and pay for a new application. Will not be recommending any of my clients coming here and I truly hope the health board and state board does an inspection. read more

I love my lashes done by Angie, I only go to her. She is so meticulous with each step and it goes a long way because the lashes stay on over a month! I'm usually gentle when I wash my eye makeup, but not always and it hasn't seem to make a difference in duration. I haven't had such a great experience (or even close!) anywhere else. The salon is extremely clean, which is hugely important to me. I'm crazy about cleanliness and this is the only place I trust. Another worthwhile aspect is that Angie is so friendly and personable. She truly wishes the best for her clients and works to get to know their character and personality in order to incorporate the perfect lashes for them. She hears your thoughts of what kind of look you want and provides suggestions and alternatives based on her extensive years of experience in this field. I've seen another reviewer's post about her "uncollaborative service" and "unprofessional" experience she had which I believe was unfortunate for her, but absolutely not true. Angie is pretty much very responsive via email, text, or via call to arrange for appointments but you have to understand that as someone who is running and operating the business by performing the services herself - she won't be rude to her clients and spend a long duration of time on her phone to cater to your multiple questions, she would be quick with her responses (as an alternative, I suggest you send her a message to give you a call/text/email when she is free to connect and direct your inquiries when she is not preoccupied) and would most likely not be available for last minute or same day appointments as obviously, her quality services are high in demand. However, should there be a last minute cancellation - she would definitely try to squeeze you in and would notify you when there's an availability. Just make sure to give yourself some room to schedule the appointment as each appointment takes at minimum one hour and these appointments gets booked full pretty quickly. The business is located in a 3 floor walk-up, in the heart of Garment District and within close proximity to Korea town, Herald Square, Manhattan Mall, Nordstrom Rack, NYPD Traffic Task Force, and Penn Station. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by Angie at the door, where she will provide you with an intake form to complete (for newcomers), and consult and interact with you in order to assess your eyelash type, the style you want, and move you towards the bed. Once you lay down, she will provide you with a blanket to keep you comfortable and initiate the taping and begin the extension services. Upon completion, she will provide you with a large hand mirror to look at the completed work and ask for your opinion. BE HONEST WITH HER - she takes great pride in the work she does and she really wishes for her clients to be satisfied with her work. Payment can be made via cash or credit card (fees/taxes apply) but she also accepts VENMO (to save you the cost of fees/taxes) - ISN'T THAT GREAT?
