I asked the nurses what was going on about 1.5 hours into my wait and they said she was "writing a letter" and "on the phone". she was supposed to send my prescriptions to the pharmacy and hasn't, 5 days later. I called about this and was on hold with the office for over an hour. My call was never answered. I would be completely without my medication if it wasn't for an urgent care doc. She has not responded to my message on the patient portal about the prescriptions. These are longterm prescriptions I've been on for years that she has prescribed to me before. She was also supposed to send a referral to a specialist for another medical issue that she has not done. I messaged about that in the patient portal about the referral. They told me they sent it. Over a day later, the office has still not received it.

My last appointment I had the utter displeasure of seeing the head of the practice, Dr. Jeffries. 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment, he walked in and proceeded to pull up my labs and lecture me about results, knowing I was pregnant and some of the abnormal results were due to this. He was rude and didn't listen to a single word I said. This is the only time I have ever just walked out on a doctor. Fairly certain in that appointment I figured out why my previous doctors were leaving the practice. If he is as terrible to his coworkers as his bedside manor is I'm shocked that he is still in business. I would avoid at all costs. Switched to one affiliated with kettering, and have had zero issues since.

That's probably mostly because it's a pain in the ass to find a new family physician though... As a teenager, I had frequent bouts of strep throat, but never the kind that was detected by the rapid swab tests. Even though this became apparent rather quickly, I can't tell you the number of times I had to make numerous trips to Dr. Farber's office when my rapid tests would come back negative and he would tell me it wasn't strep, yet a few days later, the symptoms persisted. I will give their office props for one thing, though: Shortly after I graduated college and was unemployed with no health insurance, I broke my foot. Since I was an established patient at the office, they worked with me to charge me a minimal amount for my visit and they also worked out a deal with the imaging center where I had my x-ray. I was so grateful not to have to worry about being able to afford getting care for my foot and they took excellent care of me. So, while he might not be the sharpest crayon in the medical box, Dr. Farber is a great guy, and he does look out for his patients.

They have predatory billing and split your account into multiple accounts where one may have a credit, but they do not notify you of such a credit. I have never missed a payment - just tried to dispute them. They will not provide proof of billing, just a general statement without itemization.
