I have no idea what that means, but they have good sandwiches. What to get: A Prosciutto sandwich with Fresh Mozzarella added, maybe What else: Expect an upcharge to add Fresh Mozz How to improve: Don't upcharge so much for Fresh Mozz (sigh) Nick's is a little run-down grocery store which sort-of feels like walking into a check-cashing shop or an urban convenience store that just happens to have a wonderful old-school NY-NJ style Italian deli inside. The deli itself is great, and makes a lot of awesome sandwiches for decent prices. As I said, I don't like the weird upcharges for certain ingredients, but so be it. It makes the prices of a sandwich soar from decent to ridiculous. The sandwiches aren't altogether authentic Italian NY-NJ style, but they are very good. I loved the parts of it that I had fresh, however when I had the rest of the sandwich a little later it had gotten extremely squidgy and soggy because they use a regular loaf of bread rather than anythng hard or Italian. Again, makes it less authentic but still very tasty. Despite these remarks, I haven't had a sandwich this good in the Richmond area before, so you should give it a try. And if it were Niche Produce, then they'd only sell unusual and hard to get hipster vegetables and sandwiches. Whereas if it wer Nix Produce, it would close down soon. And if it were Knickers Produce then I would have torn them down a lot more quickly and intensely than I did in this review.

I ordered the Pineapple Paradise cold to-go and stood at the register to drink it was debating to get another....... my exact order: Pineapple Paradise cold with cane sugar medium ( perfect amount of sweet to not overpower the flavor of the tea. I walked around and was in spice heaven with entree packs. This means that if you wanted to try butter chicken at home, the spice pack had all the things you needed minus the sauce, chicken, and rice.....it will be one of this weeks dinner. Now things I saw, chocolate salt, black salt, various paprika, garlic blends....... You can purchase a bag or bottle, the bottle you can get a refill if you bring it back in, I am sure at a fee. Would I go back absolutely, going tomorrow for the Pineapple Paradise tea, taking babe with me too. Excited!!!!

I haven't yet had the chance to attend one of their pop ups, but I'm an avid fan of their pastas and cannot wait to one day! Birdhouse Market on Tuesdays is my go-to for their pasta. You can also find them at the St. Stephen's farmers market. My favorite pasta they make is their sourdough tonnarelli. The creste de gallo is a must try. Other delicious and unique flavors I've enjoyed are the basil gnochetti and the porcini bucatini. I once got their white bolognese sauce and paired it with one of their pastas, it was divine. They have cute postcards with pasta sauce recipes, but you can also buy their incredible pasta sauces and pair it with the pasta you buy (which I highly recommend). If you need any help, the owner who runs the stand is incredibly sweet and can guide you in the right direction. Oro is incredible, if I could give them 100 stars I would.

Especially coming from someone who has used a lot of boxed pasta over the years, I absolutely love getting to enjoy it fresh. Since I live alone, I'm typically able to break it into several nights of food for dinner, which works out great. After a long day, it's so easy to make (what I've tried so far was recc 1-2 minutes of cook time) Staff is always happy to answer questions about the pasta also! Pictured is the basil one, you've gotta love basil for this one, but it was very enjoyable, also loved the noodle shape, which I'm blanking on the exact name at the moment.

The duck basil was fried and absolutely delicious, probably some of the best I've had in Richmond! The sauce was good, just not enough spice. The drunken noodle was also very solid! Savory and delicious, it surprisingly was a little tad more spicer then the duck basil, but no where near hot. The portion size is a smaller compared to other Thai spots, but the price also reflects it. Overall this was a very solid Thai place, and that Duck basil was indeed worth trying! A recent addition to the RVA food options, in Downtown. Take a flight of stars to the basement…read morerestaurant. Lots of cute decor and a full bar. Host/ Server was so super nice. We came for a late lunch. There is a lunch menu with smaller portions ranging from $13-$18 My go-to Pad Z Ew with tofu was good. I've had better and I'm kinda a snob when it comes to this noodle. The broccoli was crunchy and cooked well. The noodles a bit too soggy for my taste. There was a fair amount of fried tofu. The spice level was 2 and it was a "sprinkle"of chili peppers. The chicken satay came with 4 very thin pieces of chicken breast. Tip- unsweetened ice tea in a small glass is $3 each and no refills. They will charge you another $3 if you ask for another glass. The very nice server did not tell us.
