    7. Chicken Saaj Plate

wow. this meal was such a great deal! i was full after eating half of it. i love how there's so many different flavors in this dish. the salad contrasts against the rice and chicken so well. the owner is super kind and sweet. i really enjoyed my interaction with him. i would definitely come back here!

While we have loved Bella's for years, we were sad to find that the recipes, taste and quality have seemed to change within the last year.

This food cart is part of the Piedmont Food Carts. There were so many options to choose from but I'm so glad I decided on Bella's Cravings. I got their Chicken Kebab Plate (small). The size was actually perfect for me, just right. The food tasted amazing. The chicken was tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. All the flavors were there. I loved the little kick of spice, along with the yogurt sauce and pickled veggies which brought it all together with the yellow rice. The small piece of pita bread was also soft. Everything in this dish was chef's kiss. There is enough seating in the area so no need to worry about space. Just grab yourself a plate and try for yourself!

Fresh, flavorful, delicious Mediterranean food! A total standout in a city densely populated with food carts at every turn. The couple running the cart are so friendly and really take pride in serving consistently high quality food! My favorite combo, in any cuisine, is chicken, rice and salad. So at Bella's Cravings I always go with the Kabob Dinner choosing two skewers of chicken or one chicken and one shish kabob (beef.) The meats are marinated and perfectly cooked providing a depth of flavor while retaining moisture. The kabobs are served over rice along side of a huge salad of fresh greens dressed in a delicious vinegrette, the lemon adding a brightness that pairs well with the meat. I keep forgetting to bring my own container so I can eat half there and bring half home as I can never finish it all. Definitely enough for two dinners or to share. The cart itself is adorable, decorated with succulents, little white lights and faux flowers. If facing the Piedmont Pods, Bella's is on the right side next to the coffee cart. Bella's Cravings is a healthy and nutritious option without sacrificing any flavor. Highly recommend! Go, you will not be disappointed!

I was very impressed when I stumbled upon this spot! The flavors, dish presentation, especially for a food cart & service was a solid 10/10. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for healthy flavorful food. $12.00

Excellent quality Mediterranean dishes served in an "upscale" food truck park. My Shish Kabob was nicely spiced (albeit slightly over salted) and our other dishes were quite flavorful. Food trucks are all the rage in Portland and the food truck parks are upscaling themselves to create a more park-like picnic ambiance to distinguish themselves. Bella's Cravings is in one of the better parks with nice wooden pavilions for covered eating spaces. The truck itself is also quite artistically decorated. I'm amused by the numerous 5-star gushing the food trucks are showered with, as if they were Michelin rated restaurants. Bella's Cravings is one of the better food trucks, yet I debated between 3 and 4 stars. I heard several customers being told that their orders wouldn't be complete because the kitchen had run out of certain items. My order took close to 40 minutes to complete when I was told 15 (makes it a pain to order from multiple food trucks for a group). The food is quite good, but you're still walking up to a counter to order and eating at an outdoor picnic table (and bussing your own table - not sure why they have a tip space on the receipt).

Amazing, Amazing food! Visited on a Tuesday afternoon with my partner towards closing time and the food was still spot on and delicious. Very unique flavors and Mediterranean dishes. I suggest the chicken Kebab plate! Please try if you haven't :) Food travels well too, I got lost on my way back to my hotel for almost an hour and the food was still delicious when I got to eat it. Very professional and Social Distance friendly too!

I've been craving chicken kabobs and saw them on the menu here so I gave it a try. Pretty darn good. The chicken itself was marinated nicely. Wish it came with more chicken though. Quite a bit of salad comes with it. Lots of rice too, but I'm not sure I like the red dusting on it but that's just my taste. Wish I had more of that chicken. Pita wouldn't have been dry if it was heated up. Overall a great and healthy meal.

Bella's cravings is our favorite food truck and top places we go to for the best food in Portland! It is consistently amazing- so much flavor on every plate we have ordered. We love love love the curry chicken plate!!! Only Bella's Cravings can even make the side salad so delicious that I want more. Highly recommend this place, looking for to the day they have multiple locations :)

Love this place! The kebabs are fantastic and so is the stew. Even the salad tasted pretty good. I can honestly say this is one of the few places I've eaten at where the rice is the highlight. Whatever they do to their rice, it tastes heavenly. Will be back to try more!!!

We were able to try a wide variety of dishes, and every single one was exceptional. I have dietary restrictions (no onions or garlic), and the kitchen and staff were incredibly accommodating. They prepared separate versions of several dishes for me without hesitation, and I never felt like I was getting a lesser experience. It's rare to find a restaurant that can accommodate food sensitivities so thoughtfully while still delivering incredible flavor. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, and the service was impeccable. The staff was warm, attentive, and made our birthday celebration feel special without ever being overbearing. Everyone in our group left talking about how amazing the food was. We couldn't have asked for a better meal or a better overall experience. We weren't too hungry and ordered 3 dishes to share - the hamachi crudo, baked feta with Blackberries, and braised Greek greens. The service was pretty fast, we received our food within 15 mins. The hamachi crudo was tasty with fresh fish that balanced well with the yummy smoked eggplant, tamarind soy, black harissa mayo, and crispy ginger. The baked feta was the heartiest dish, it came out with piping hot pitas to dip into the creamy savory/sweet feta and blackberries. The braised Greek greens felt like the most basic dish out of the 3, collard greens cooked with a lemon/olive oil finish, which tasted as described but not exciting enough to order again. Just as the name implies, this restaurant is a nice way to try Mediterranean dishes for those who don't eat it often. Admittedly, the cuisine isn't in our top favorites, but all the dishes were executed well, true to their description, and made for some fun bites.

It's a nice location and was quite busy on a Tuesday night. We were sat right on time for our reservation. The server recommended 5-7 plates for our party of 3 and let us know that plates come out as they are made (pretty standard). Despite this, there seemed to be no pacing to how dishes came out. All of our dishes came out rapid fire one after another to the point where we didn't have time to finish the small plates and didn't have room on the table. The food itself was largely okay, but nothing to write home about. The two biggest plates we got were the pastrami and the short rib. The pastrami was somewhat dry, though the mustard it was served with was delicious. The short rib was tough and in the rub had one slice that was way too strong and overpowered all the other flavors. The hummus with burnt ends was good from a hummus perspective but the ends were super salty. The cornbread was delicious and probably the favorite plate of the table and the cauliflower was a close second. All in all, a pretty disappointing experience. Maybe it was just a tough night there and we'll give it another try.

The outside seating area has trash and debris from the previous day...we were there right after open... needs to be swept. Doesn't appear like it has been pressure washed in a while either. Planters are smeared with dirt, concrete stained with food buildup and tables need a bath. The inside is just as bad, which starts at the front door. Front glass looks awful...smears, dirt, grime, and streaks galore. There are also signs peeling and tape residue left from signage that used to be present. Soda machine and bathrooms were also beneath expectations. You can't have a "thank you for supporting small business" sign if you aren't doing your part. So it was a good value for a special occasion. I'll walk you through what we ate: First came their signature green olives with a little bowl for the pits. They had some little pickled red onions in with them. Soooo good! Then focaccia. It was a big hunk that we tore pieces off of and dipped in garlic olive oil. Those were standard with every meal. Now came the fun. The thing I love about tasting menus is you never know what's coming next! It's so much fun to be surprised! They started us off with a seasonal burrata with local strawberries, hazelnuts, fresh basil and a strawberry gastrique. Swoon-worthy! Next we were served the house version of Caesar salad. It came with a wedge of lemon to squeeze over the top. Yum! Next was the thinnest roasted asparagus I've ever eaten. I don't normally like asparagus but I really enjoyed this. It rested on a bed of some sort of puree (I forgot what they said it was). Next was corn ravioli. Sadly it was the only pasta included in this meal. I had been hoping to have another pasta dish or two. The ravioli was special though and not your normal filling, so that was nice. Then came roasted cauliflower on a bed of green goddess sauce. Tasty but I was feeling very healthy by then with all the veggies! (Couldn't they have replaced that with pasta? Sorry, I'm whining here). Our last savory dish was eggplant parm. It came with more focaccia. Again, I'd have loved pasta instead. Isn't that what one goes to an Italian restaurant for? Finally there were delicious, short, buttery Italian wedding cookies. But then our waiter surprised us with cannoli, for our anniversary! It sat atop Maryhill peach compote. Excellent! The service was impeccable. Our waiter was knowledgeable, personable and very attentive. We were also served by some other staff who did a great job as well. Good thing we've been married 42 years. If this was a first date where you want to get to know each other, it would be hard because it's pretty loud and the tables are crammed closely together. They really need a bigger space. We are looking forward to bringing friends and family here in the future.
