We chose one off these. All with full hook up. We are lucky enough to trust that our dogs would behave if off leash for short periods while we were outside with them. We have stayed three nights both times and just enjoyed the simplicity of the park. If you are looking for laundry facilities, showers and a pool this isn't your place.... This is a beautiful RV Park with lots of ammenties and they can definitely accommodate bigger rigs, our 40' Motorhome and toad fit into the level site with ease. We requested a large site so we didn't have to unhook and could exit the park the next morning so site 30 worked out great we exited the site right onto the side street, there were some low hanging branches on the road which has nothing to do with the park but we were able to maneuver around them. The park owners should address this with the county road maintenance department to eliminate the concerns. It's obvious the staff here continues to make upgrades so as good as it is it can only get better. Access is very easy exiting exit 112 west bound off I-10. As others have stated Bonifay is a very small town but there are a number of restaurants in close proximity we had dinner next door at M&W Bbq. We are so happy to have found this place and definitely plan to visit them again in the future. I thought the prices were very fair and everything worked out great, for us this is a park that we highly recommend...

I pull off expecting the parking area to be close by like all of the others. No, it's a long winding road that makes you feel like you are going in circles and getting lost. Then you arrive at the lower level where the big rigs park. I should have read Dave O's review before I parked down there. The dogs were desperate for a walk so we jumped out of the car. Thankfully I always lock my car. Thankfully it was day light too. Once up the hill, there are plenty of restrooms and picnic tables under pavilions. The grounds are well cared for and I enjoyed talking pictures of the trees. When I was leaving, a man in a black T-shirt and jeans came up on me out of no where. He asked for gas money to get to Houston, TX. He told me that he lost his apartment and was sleeping in his car with his dog. He was headed to his aunts but needed gas. I told him that I was traveling cashless and the only thing I could offer was for him to follow me to a gas station. He didn't take me up on the offer. After that I quickly put the window back up and took off. I stopped at the upper level to throw trash out and my intuition kept saying get out of there. I stopped what I was doing and took off.

You could use it to turn around and go back the way you came if you wanted to. Because of this, it's a bit of a drive to get to it after you exit the interstate but others exaggerate how far. This rest area is meant to be enjoyed. Go past the facilities around the loop to the highest point, park and walk up past the picnic shelter for a view down to the Apalachicola River and off into the distance. There was more to see when it was first built and the trees hadn't grown up to block the view. There was a new opportunity after Hurricane Michael came through but that is now growing back to hide the scars and some of the view. After the leaves fall is probably the best time to get the view these days. The facilities are kept clean and there is lots of parking. If you want a good walk then park down with the large truck parking area and walk up. Otherwise, go past that parking area and loop around to parking closer to the facilities. There are a bunch of sheltered picnic tables on around the loop. When you leave it is clearly marked which way to go to continue east or west. It will be a bit of a drive back to the interstate but you will be refreshed and ready to drive some more.

Our room had only one but luckily we were the only guests that evening, so we were able to get the other one. The B&B is located on one of the main drags through town. It reads, "On September 27, 1864, Gen Asboth's force of 700 Federal cavalry from Pensacola arrived in the Marianna area to forage and secure Negro recruits. Confederate forces of a few hundred home guardsmen barricaded the streets of Marianna and withstood the first assault but Confederate casualties were 26, Federal about 55. Marianna was spared, but St. Luke's Church, situated in the middle of the battle, was burned." Marianna, the home of Florida's ardent secessionist Civil War governor, John Milton, was an important supply depot and recruiting/mustering center for Confederate militia and reserves. By late 1864, it was the largest northwest Florida town besides Tallahassee still in Confederate hands. Due to the fiercer-than-expected fighting and high casualties, particularly among the officers, Asboth's plan to turn south toward St. Andrews Bay was cancelled. Instead, that evening and the next morning, the raiders withdrew toward Choctawhatchee Bay. The column brought with it over 600 liberated slaves, 17 wagons filled with captured arms and stores, 200 captured horses, and 400 head of cattle.
