Nice very clean friendly staff. Indoor right in the heart of Uptown/Bellaire. Plenty of room to workout / train from softball or baseball. Lots of equipment for use while you train Tanner tees, pitching mounds/rubbers, home plates and radar system in the pitching lane to track speeds. Would highly recommend!!! Did I mention a/c climate controlled great for beating the H-Town Heat.

    Happy birthday!

Really cool place to host a kids bday party! My son was turning 4, and the hubs found this place through a referral from another parent. Large facility, with plenty of space for seating for parents and kids, an extra room for food/cake time and another, quieter room with a tv in case parents just wanted a time out from party mayhem. First, the setup was quite easy, as Juan (owner) was very hands on and helped set up decorations. Once kids arrived, we started things off with a high intensity nerf gun fight, which the kids were super psyched about. The little nerf bullets sting a bit, but it didn't deter both parents and kids from participating. Next was dodgeball. Now this is where things got really interesting. The kids were split into teams and practiced throwing the balls at each other to get one another out, but THEN it was parents vs kids. When I tell you it got competitive, that would be an understatement! Parents definitely won, and were not easy on the kids at all. I honestly couldn't tell who had more fun- the kids or the parents! So the games lasted about an hour, then it was time to eat. Juan helped shuttle all the kids into the side room, where they indulged in the chick fil A nuggets we ordered. Then we cut the cake and said goodbye. In all, the entire party lasted about 2.5hrs, more than enough time! We did not feel rushed, which was so so nice!! And bday boy loved every minute of it! Such a hit!!

He agreed to give my son an hour lesson. My son went and enjoyed himself. ----- All they care about is what they can extract from you in the moment. It's quite odd that they would rather take $50 today instead of nurturing a long term relationship. Previously we had some good experiences and used them during off season, even did a camp with them. My son couldn't find his equipment before the lesson, so I tried to call to see if we'd need it or not. However, we had the first slot of the day. So I called as soon as they opened, but they didn't pick up and it went to voicemail. We got someone to borrow the equipment and raced over. By the time we got there, they had given my son's appointment slot to another kid... And TOOK our $50 for the lesson. They refused to let us make it up. Even though we made the appointment last night and all thier slots were open and they weren't available for us to see what Thier policy is, etc. I just found the coach who was now busy with another kid during our time slot and the manager incredibly poor at customer service. It left a really bad taste in my mouth. To top it off, it was a birthday present from his aunt!! They didn't care. They stuck to thier policy and we're uncaring, showing no empathy. So we will never go back again. In the end they took our$50, but lost out on hundreds more over the next 3 years.

Wish I knew the truth about this place before we wasted a year of our time & money. My daughter…read moreplayed softball for the 14U team and towards the end you could tell the owner only cared about $$$. To play on the team you have to sign a contract so if it doesn't work out and you decide to leave you are still liable for the monthly payments. Randy, the owner, only speaks to the players directly and never addresses any issues about the players to their parents. If any parents had any concerns we could never reach the owner, no matter if there was an email, call or text. He was never available to speak on any these issues. He tells everyone's business to everyone else, so be careful what you divulge. Very weird and manipulative. They claim to have the best training in sports but our record was pretty horrible fall/spring 2022-2023 (W24/ L69) and nothing ever changed. The coaches were very sweet but weren't able to coach how they wanted and it showed, all 3 ended up leaving due to the same issues and not having a control over team decisions. The owner plays favorites to whichever parents spend the most moneys. After only being on another team for 2 weeks now, I've seen such a huge improvement on communication and training! I can see now that breakaway is not in it for the long haul. Sad part is you only see it once you get on Randy's bad side. Sadly the only thing my daughter did was not go to ONE tournament due to the cost which was advised to Randy months in advance but I guess that didn't matter. We were told by other parents that my daughter wasn't invited back to the next season but never told directly from the coach.

I would say that we have had a generally positive experience with regard to use of the facilities…read more(cage rental and baseball rainout practices) and what little training we have done there. Certainly nothing to complain about there. The one thing I wanted to include in a review was related to a vehicle related crime while we were attending a training session inside. While parked in front of the building, two individuals attempted to steal my catalytic converters. They got one but were interrupted before they could fully remove the other. The witness entered the facility and I was notified of the event. This was approximately 5:30 (Monday, broad daylight) on a Monday. I inquired with the employees about security footage and was told that there were cameras. I indicated that I would like to get copies of the footage but had to leave at that time. Two days later(Wednesday), I was finally able to get my police report filed (long story) and called Breakaway just before 3 PM. The individual I spoke with new nothing of the event and was not able to give me any information regarding the security cameras. She indicated that she would talk to the owner and to expect a call back that day as they take those things seriously. Two days later (Friday) just before 3 PM, I called back after hearing nothing. The individual was surprised to hear that the owner had not called me and said that the camera footage was reviewed but I was in a blind spot for the cameras. I don't know if the footage was ever checked or whether I was in a blind spot, but I never received a call from the facility to let me know and had to call back myself. From where I was parked, I could see security cameras. I don't know if they were out of service or what, but no attempt was made to communicate any of that to me. If you go, watch your car!
