We just ordered a pizza and went in to pick it up. It looked like the toppings were switched, but we went in and mentioned that the toppings were on the wrong sides before it went in the oven. (The online ordering was confusing, sauces are selected with radial buttons, toppings are selected with infographic pies. There's no correlation between which radial buttons relate to which side of the pie infographic. Which is a bigger UX flaw) Came back to pick it up and they said we never talked about changing the toppings?! and that it was too late, even though we had literally just been there and saw the pizza being prepared. Ahh the 'work' pizza... they always supply us with this place as it is 'better' than pizza hut. I mean hell it has a fancy name, like Hagan Daas... maybe its because i dont like the puffy crust unless it is on a Neapolitan type pizza. Maybe because how people really prefer this place. This is our go to pizza place and has been for years. Solid pizza with good to generous toppings. Delivery time is always out 1 hour when we order online and is almost always delivered in 35-40 min. Delivery folks are always cool. No real dine in option here. It's delivery or pick up. Apps are find but really we stick to the pizza. Your going too top it however you want, no issues there...except the garlic. Don't do it. I lived in Gilroy the garlic capital of the world and about gagged at the amount of raw garlic on our pie. Well... Delivery of a pizza to an apartment about ten blocks from the restaurant: Ordered online. Quoted an hour for "ASAP" delivery, which struck me as a pretty dang long time for pizza delivery, but okay.. I figured that they left themselves a big, cushy padding so that they couldn't possibly deliver a pizza late... Fifty five minutes after I ordered, I called, to be sure that the pizza was in fact coming and to try to get an estimate as to how much longer it might be. I was told that a driver had left with my pizza about five to seven minutes earlier, and that my pizza was the only one on the delivery. AWESOME!! MY PIZZA SHOULD BE HERE ANY MINUTE NOW!!! ...any minute now.. Anytime. So, I call again. It is now over an hour since I ordered, so I call again. I. Let the guy that I've inquired after my pizza know that no, I'm not calling from Reed College (uh-oh... This is a bad sign), but rather a different late pizza order. Apologetic guy on the phone tells me that he'll put me on hold while he calls the driver to find out what's going on. I let him know that I'd rather that he call me back when he knows what's happening. Ten minutes after I made this call, I get a call back (thank goodness I asked to not be put on hold!). I'm told (again) that the pizza is being delivered, that the driver had more than one order and that my pizza will be free... Since my wife had already broken down and made herself a sandwich for dinner it was a fairly empty gesture. The pizza finally arrived nearly an hour and fifteen minutes after I had completed my order. "I really have no idea what happened" is what the delivery driver told me when he handed my very late dinner and wife's very early next day's lunch. If you plan to lie to a customer, at least get the lies straight- and never, ever, ever go with an "I don't know".... A possibly rabid squirrel attacked the cashier and we had to take them to the hospital. A couple pizza cooks broke out into a violent knife fight over who was going to have to restock the pepperoni and we had to do police reports. There was a small fire. I locked my keys in my vehicle. A beluga whale mysteriously fell from the sky and landed on my toe, and I was trapped, TRAPPED I say. Anything is better than "I don't know what happened". Presenting competent failure is a better option than professing to have no clue. I'll never get delivery from here again. Heck, I won't do pick up for sure if they can't hit an hour delivery window. When they show some care - they produce some fairly yummy pizza and sandwiches. But they often don't. The last couple of times I've ordered delivery - they've either forgotten something (like chips, or sauce for dipping) or simply gotten it wrong. I called last night - just to let them know that I hadn't gotten pizza sauce for dipping my calzone and that there was practically no cheese - when I had ordered extra cheese on it. The female manager apologized about the sauce - then told me that she had made the calzone herself - and there WAS extra cheese on it. I wasn't complaining - and I told her that - I wanted to let them know that they'd missed those items so that maybe they could improve their attention to detail. I wasn't even looking for an apology - but I was NOT looking to be told that I was lying or mistaken in my statement about the food. Perhaps a different manager should be on duty on a Saturday night - one who has a bit of customer service interest / experience. I think it's time to give up on Bellaggio's. We get the pizza, and it has salami, pepperoni, and a massive amount of mushrooms with a plastic tub of black olives on the side. Hmph. No jalapenos. Tasted pretty good! Until the effects the next morning. And after lunch. And afternoon. Etc. Bellagios is a great option in the Sellwood area if you want delicious/quality pizza and not the cardboard options from a Domino's/Pizza Hut corporate chain. They have a diverse menu like any good pizza joint should and the prices are standard for a better caliber pizza that isn't the corporate chain variety ($18-22 depending on the pizza). On my most recent order I had an XL Italian Chicken/Bellagio Combo. The cheese & sauce was solid and the toppings were bountiful and full of flavor. The crust/dough was a perfect combo; not too soft and not overly crunchy. I had my pizza delivered and the quoted time was an hour, which wasn't unreasonable for when I ordered. They delivered it sooner than that so I was more than happy. I'll definitely make return trips/orders to Bellagios. Overall, if you're avoiding cardboard pizza, hit this place up when you want something better. read more

This place is basically a take away pizza place with a couple of chairs and tables to wait while your order is being made. Call ahead for easier pick up with less wait at the aforementioned table and chairs. There is also a small but stocked refrigerator with plenty of choices for liquid bubbly refreshments. What gives them three stars? Well the food is pretty darn good out of this food factory. Something about the sauce and the blend of cheese that makes even the cheese pizza stand apart. Is the serivce great? Not really. Sometimes you even get a bit of an attitude when you call as if they drew straws on who was going to answer and the person that did drew the short straw. Dont believe me? Wait till you get there and witness if for your self. The phone can ring three times as staff stand and look at each other as if in a draw stand off. Nobody wanting to take the next call. Again somebody back there in the tiny kitchen is doing something right because the food coming out of there is worth the experience you get. read more

Heard a lot of good things about Bellagios over the years and finally got to try it today. I was extremely disappointed. Sauce is thick and has no flavor, just super sweet/tangy, pretty much just tomato paste. Dough is too soft and soggy. Dominoes is slightly better to be honest. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because they give you plenty of toppings. Probably won't get pizza from here again. read more

Recommended by a friend, so I'm sure it's good, but we had a bad customer service experience and our food did not taste good. We waited in a long line of pickup orders, so they were obviously busy. We understand, of course, but the kitchen was really chaotic and the person who seemed to be managing appeared to exasperate the situation, as opposed to helping create flow and order. People came and went with their pickups while we stood there. Understandable - they obviously could have ordered before us and showed up after, but after a 45 minute wait (!! Literally, not an exaggerated number) and having already waited 20 minutes from when we called to when we arrived, it turns out our food was sitting there the entire time. They did not acknowledge this and just gave it to us as though it was fresh from the oven. So. That sucked. Oh, and just to mention, we were quoted 25 minutes on the phone, which we remember because it was really specific and we thought that was kind of funny. Two stars because I've totally been there and being in the weeds is never fun, but daaaang. 1 hour and then you give me cold pizza and burnt wings?! It would've been better to just acknowledge everything and give us the option to wait for it to be remade. Again, recommended by a local friend, so I'm sure there are good days and this was a bad one, but managers should manage and be the calmest person in the room. The good: the pizza is solid. That's the ONLY reason I keep coming back. Well, and I live around the corner, so there's the convenience factor. The bad: the service is questionable, at best. I've managed restaurants from pizza joints to fine dining, so I'm not off-base here. When a customer walks up to the counter you greet them. Simple. Acknowledge their presence: do not, under any circumstances, ignore them for five straight minutes despite multiple sideways glances at them. I know you know I'm here. Also, a good general rule when dealing with the public is to refrain from being rude directly to them. And indirectly. Also, please know your menu offerings. And if the pizza is going to take 45 minutes to cook before I come pick it up: please tell me that! I came in at the 20 minute mark because that's how long you told me it would be. Now I'm stuck sitting in your cafeteria-style strip mall storefront watching the farcical shenanigans of your employees for 25 minutes when I'd rather be at home consoling my five year old that just threw up her lunch (hence the last-minute take out dinner). I've been to this Bellagio's at least 20 times, and not once has there been an instance where something wasn't off. It would be comical if I weren't the punch line. It was our very first night in our new townhouse and there was not a stitch of furniture anywhere. Our furniture would not arrive for another week and we were HUNGRY! And tired. Low and behold, we noticed a magnet on our refrigerator for Bellagios Pizza. Hurray! Delivery took about 40 minutes. The pizza was OK, nothing great but it served it's purpose. This has always been our go-to pizza place, but over the last two years the service has just gotten worse. However, by the time I actually get it delivered, I've often waited nearly an hour, or longer, past the delivery time for the pizza to arrive. The driver is always out with multiple orders and my pizza is always delivered luke warm and I'm guessing at least an hour old. While everyone is polite enough, there's always excuses for my delayed pizza and never any acknowledgement that they are running so late. There's also never any communication with customers. When trying to avoid problems with delivery and ordering for pickup, I often find myself standing around at the time I was told to arrive only to discover my pizza hasn't even hit the oven. Tonight, I got to pay extra for mushrooms that they didn't put on the pizza. Overall, the experience here sucks. Save your money and make the drive to a Sparky's instead. read more

And both times the pizza arrived before the 45 minute - 1 hour time-frame that was quoted. So I'm going to disagree about the speediness and quality if service. They seem to be pretty on-point. Let me start off by saying that I usually love getting pizza from Bellagios for the past few years. However, the last two times my husband and I have ordered from here they gave us the wrong pizzas. Being a 7 months pregnant woman...you can imagine how disappointed I was when my husband came home and I opened the box to find a cheese pizza with mushrooms on half missing the pepperoni. For me, this isn't acceptable if we ordered our pizza with pepperoni. I am starving and when I called to let Bellagios know the gal I spoke with seemed annoyed. Didn't get her name. The Costco Combo tastes better and has the same crust. My wife did not believe me so I bought both and put a couple of slices of Costco combo in the Bellagios combo. I love Bellagios Pizza, for the price and how easy it is to get, you really cant beat it, and it's delicious too! I have eaten at the one in Gresham and the one at Lloyd center, both of those are great but so far the Sellwood Bellagios is my favorite, the flavor is better, I'm not sure what they do different. My fiancé usually gets the bbq chicken pizza and I usually get a gluten free "create your own" (marinara sauce, spinach, onions, garlic, and feta chees), BEST GLUTEN FREE PIZZA IN PORTLAND!!! Even if I could eat regular pizza I would stick with the GF version, the crust is just amazing! I have also had Mississippi Pizza and Pizza-A-Go Go, both also have gluten free pizza and it's good but not as good (or as cheap) as Bellagios!! read more
