Finding the salon was tricky for me, I passed by it a couple times. Look for Curry Ford Plaza. The plaza is an L shape, and the salon is in the corner. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but you'll be surprised when you go in. When I arrived I met Sheila, the owner and hairdresser. She explained how she starts new customers with a thorough hair analysis. She said that my hair didn't really need the deep-moisture treatment I had purchased, but could use the protein on the ends (I have longish hair). She said since she wasn't doing the full moisture treatment she could give me a trim instead. I agreed to that, being close to due for a haircut, and pretty impressed with Sheila's detailed attention. She started with the hair trim by telling me the importance of studying the hairline to make sure the hair falls properly. She suggested some changes to my layers and suggested a small trim. Now, this has been a couple weeks, so my order of events might be slightly off, but what followed was a haircut, a shampoo, the protein treatment (with time spent under a hair dryer), another shampoo, and finally styling my hair. The whole process took about two hours. So, two hours spent on my hair for $25. At that point I felt like I was robbing poor Sheila. For the first shampoo she has a small closet-sized space in the back. She put warm blankets over me and did a bit of a scalp massage. It was so relaxing I nearly fell asleep. And the shampoo she used for me smelled like chocolate. So, for my Groupon I got way, way more than I expected. The haircut was great and the treatment left my hair feeling amazing (I was so sad when the chocolate smell wore off). I should add that she uses organic products and if you buy the shampoo you can bring your bottle back to refill (environmentally friendly). She also sells teas and adorable tea pots (she brews a tea of the day you can try while you are waiting). It's just one more awesome touch in an otherwise awesome place.

I have called Tennessee home for over 5 years and have not even looked for a hairdresser here; and, while I have had my hair trimmed around the edges here in Chattanooga, Darcy is the only hairdresser I trust to color my hair. I travel to Orlando twice a year and Darcy is among the top 4 "must see" people with whom I make an appointment. Darcy's work is worth waiting for. Josh did not like that. He proceeded to text me several times, minutes apart, saying how I was giving "basic bitch", how I am "budget shopping," and how this conversation was going to make "great social media content." I hurry to log into Instagram and what do I find? He immediately posted our whole conversation (or at least what he wanted to share) and, again, was insulting me. Commenting on how he "dogged a bullet" working with me. Again, I have NEVER even met this person. I feel insulted, and he sees it as "entertainment value and showcasing negative emotions." This is just a warning of what I experienced when I DIDN'T use his services. I am not sure what you would encounter with him on your wedding day. Here are comments that Josh wrote on the Instagram post: "Ending up doing your own hair and makeup on your big day is such a pity. Josh does a great job with hair but just be mindful that these are people that have no problem finding an issue about anything & moving it towards a lawsuit. I walked in, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and was offered a drink while I waited. The girl that was supposed to cut my hair never showed up, but Larry saved the day!! Larry immediately took charge of my hair, recommended a good haircut for my type of hair, and worked his magic. He cut my hair the exact length I wanted and styled it to perfection. He even taught me how to style my hair and the do's and don'ts of using a diffuser. I am usually not a fan of going to the hair salon. But this experience really made me feel so comfortable. They still owe me hair that I never got! I didn't even finish my service and I still paid. It's been over a month and still no hair, and my service was never completed! I have plenty of screenshots that I could add if this is ever denied. My appointment was canceled twice same day as I am walking into the salon. If you cancel same day, you get charged. If they cancel same day, sucks for you. Kristen's response was it wasn't her so it's not her problem. She used one strip of hair extension. Added tape instead of more hair.
