The accommodations were great as we stayed in both king for two nights and the queen for one. The king room was spacious with large bathroom and has it own private patio door exit. The queen was comfortable and the bathroom was adjacent across the room. Bubba made sure the guest were well taken care of and the place was always immaculate. Most of all there were Bears and bears décor every where ! I was able to use the 20% discount coupons n Yelp check in .. Bubba and Deb-B was the most welcoming hosts and their knowledge of the area. We wanted to explore both lower and upper Antelope Canyons as well Horseshoe Bend the included a game of golf . Morning breakfast was made to order from omelette, bacon. Toast, fruit, yogurt and much more. There were always fresh baked chocolate cookies at hand ! BTW .. my Bears truly enjoyed themselves !

A cozy home style hospitality…read more It's definitely not your normal type of B&B, as it's a cozy home style hospitality. Well kept & managed by the owners, sweet husband Jim and wife Verda. Jim does most of the talking and even shows you card tricks if you have the extra time. Enjoyed 2 night's here, I liked the upstairs room on my second visit but downstairs was still nice. Enjoyed meeting the other guest at breakfast, with Verda's yummy personal touch style of breakfast. There hospitality, is more of a family welcoming, which is very sweet.

In a word: Different. We've stayed at many B&Bs (both in the US and Europe) and Rose Walk was…read moreunlike any we've ever experienced. Not to say that it was bad... in a lot of ways, it was quite nice... just that you're either going to love it or hate it. If you travel to meet new people, love to socialize, and want to feel like you're staying with family (and don't think it's weird to hang out in the living room while the grandkids watch cartoons)... you'll love the place. If, however, you like to have some personal space to spread out where you can relax and do your own thing... you'll hate it. Jim & Verde are incredibly warm and welcoming. As hosts, do their very best to make sure you have anything and everything you could possibly dream of during your stay. When we arrived Jim sat us down, gave us a map and a rundown of all the things to see and do in Page. It was nice to have someone willing to share knowledge of the area and make recommendations (though, frankly I found Yelp reviews to be more helpful at times). After a 45-minute brief on everything you could possibly need to know in a town of 7,247 along with a brief summary of his life, Jim showed us to our room and helped us with our bags. Our room was small but the bed was comfortable and we slept well the 2 nights we were there. That was except for being woken-up at 5:00am by one of their visiting young grandchildren screaming "MOM!!!!!!" outside our window (which we had open at night to keep cool, but which also left us listening to all the noise back and forth between the driveway and the front door as people came and went). Getting ready in the morning was a bit of a challenge as there were about 6-7 people sharing essentially 1 (very small) downstairs bathroom. (Think college dorm life and you'll be fine). I did not grown up in a big family and am not used to sharing a bathroom with so many people. If we'd only had one other room to share it with, it may not have been so bad, but this was just too much for me. There is the option to use the master bath on the upper floor, but it is directly off the kitchen where guests are busy eating breakfast, so the notion of trying to sh*t, shower and shave in such close proximity to people eating was undesirable at best. Not to mention, who wants to then have to walk through the house, past the front door, and down the hall in a towel. (I'm guessing I'm not alone in this thought as I never saw anyone use the upstairs bathroom). Breakfast was a very social affair (which is not good for those of us non-morning people who have zero interest in talking before at least 2 cups of coffee). Apparently the pancakes are very good (said my husband), but I passed instead to go out and photograph the sunrise. I did think it was very nice that Jim & Verde are willing to prepare breakfast at whatever time you would like it and not on a set schedule. On the flip side, however, I felt a lot like a rebellious teenager who missed curfew when we strolled in around midnight and were greeted with Jim asking a bunch of questions about where we went and what we did. It felt a bit like an interrogation and, as I'm a fairly private person (especially with people I've only just met a few hours earlier) I didn't feel like it was anyone else's business what I did on my vacation. If you're a social, open-book, share-anything type of person, you'll probably love chatting with Jim. (Grab a 6-pack and take a seat). He's very friendly and talkative. However, not everyone is like this, so if you're more reserved like me, you'll find this comes across rather overbearing even if his heart is in the right place. You can tell Jim & Verde have the best intentions in taking excellent care of all of their guests. Their affection for entertaining is evident. If I had stayed with them as long-time friends, I might have been delighted by the experience. But that's not why I came to Page. I came to explore canyons and lakes on a relaxing, romantic vacation. As a paying guest of a B&B there is a different expectation than of friends or family. It felt less like I was paying $100+ per night for a getaway at a B&B, and more like I was crashing in a friend's downstairs guest room sharing a bathroom with the roommates. Some people are fine with this; some are not. Rose Walk Inn is more accurately a family home with rooms to rent on a nightly basis. You are staying with a family... and, at times, their very large extended family. The term B&B implies (and in many localities, requires) guest accommodations which are definitively separated from family quarters (dining areas, bathrooms, etc). In this home, everything is shared. I would recommend this place for families, especially those with small children. I would not recommend it for couples, solo or business travelers.

[Racial Discrimination at a Hotel?] Shocking Experience…read more We love road trips. During our stay at this Holiday Inn in Page, we experienced something truly unbelievable. At check-in, each room in our group presented two forms of ID (some of us with Chinese passports, others with Japanese passports and U.S. driver's licenses) and politely requested two key cards per room. The front desk manager, Doris, insisted that "hotel policy only allows one key per room." That sounded absurd--we've traveled the world for decades and never encountered such a rule. Then we noticed several non-Asian guests checking in after us, and each of them was given two key cards without question. To make it even more unbelievable, Doris showed us an empty key card box and claimed they were "out of cards." It was almost laughable. But after we called IHG customer service to verify, she suddenly returned with a full stack of key cards--as if by magic. That's when it became clear: we were being treated differently. We don't want to assume intent, but this experience strongly felt like discrimination against Asian or Asian-appearing guests. It was disappointing, disheartening, and frankly unacceptable--especially coming from a global brand like IHG. Still, after everything, my young daughter went to the front desk and sincerely thanked Doris for eventually giving us two key cards. That moment, while small, says a lot about how we choose to respond--with kindness and grace, even when disappointed.

Now, technically, this place flies the Marriott flag but let's be clear, it's owned by Marpalm out of Florida. And that detail starts to make a lot of sense the longer you're here. At first glance, the hotel gives off heavy Better Call Saul energy. Not the flashy parts the waiting room parts. The whole place has this outdated Southwest facade, like it peaked sometime around 1968 and collectively decided, "Yeah... we're good here." The rooms? Think your grandma's house in the desert if she hasn't updated a single thing since Nixon was in office. At first, it seemed harmless. A few moths fluttering lazily in the lobby like they paid for the room. The night auditor casually mentioned a "slight moth problem," the way someone might mention a chance of light rain. Fine. No big deal. But then... the hallway. Friends, this was not a "slight moth problem." This was a full-scale aerial assault. A biblical plague. World War Moth. They came at me with reckless abandon dive-bombing in the corridors, ricocheting off elevator walls like drunken fighter pilots. You don't walk to your room here, you run tactical maneuvers. I half expected someone to hand me a helmet and a flashlight. We clung to hope. Maybe, just maybe, the room would be a sanctuary. A place of peace. A refuge. It was not. The moths had beaten us there. Established dominance. Probably unpacked. Now look, after 16 hours on the road, a man doesn't ask for much. A bed. A shower. Maybe the ability to sleep without wondering if a winged intruder is going to kamikaze straight into his mouth at 2 a.m. So I have to ask: are we really too cheap for a couple bug zappers? Maybe dim the lights so the moths stop losing their damn minds? Because right now, this isn't hospitality--it's survival. Two stars. One for the bed, one for the story I'll be telling for the rest of my life.

Updated bathroom. "Free Breakfast" in bags in the morning from 0630-0930A but it varies depending on what's placed inside or how often they replenish these "bags". Only constant seems to be an apple, apple juice, and a Danish pasty. What changes is jimmy dean English muffin, bean and cheese burrito, may or may not have a light Yoplait yogurt. Also the offering of hot water and coffee limited to how often they refill them as well. Seems to be out most of the time. Besides the breakfast "issue", the front desk seemed to be a bit weird on which rooms they offer. Was told 3rd floor was full, 2nd floor was in process of deep cleaning, so we all got stuck on the 1st floor. Had 2 rooms next to each other but no interconnecting door. When I went to the front desk, the woman acted like it was my fault. Her exact words: "I'm sorry you didn't come down sooner." Excuse me? I'm sorry YOUR hotel is a biohazard. Instead of fixing it, replacing sheets, or refunding anything, she basically shrugged and told me to move my entire family into another room after a long day of traveling. Completely unprofessional, lazy, and rude. The food? Trash. Inedible slop. Between the gross breakfast and the human fluids on the bed, this place should honestly be shut down by the health department. Save your money, save your sanity, and definitely save your health. This dump is a disgrace.
