I think she may have been cutting them down like that to avoid that, but I didn't have ingrown in the first place. Not to mention that in order to fix an ingrown your supposed to cut along the side, not at the corner from my own personal experience. Cutting a toenail at the corner gave me a jagged painful edge which is just now been picked off today and the swelling is already going down. Just had my toes done a few days ago.
