Unfortunately, the facility has hit a bit of a decline lately. What used to be impeccably dry, clean floors are now prone to dust and hairballs, and it's gotten so wet in the wet sauna areas that they've just started putting out "caution" signs instead of actually keeping it dry. I've seen quite a few people slip. Even the "unlimited" towel perk has been downgraded to a strict two-towel limit, and the food portions and quality have shrunk exponentially compared to the cost they charge it at. That being said, there is one major saving grace: the Korean auntie who does the body scrubs. She is an absolute legend and deserves a massive raise for everything she puts up with! She's the main reason the experience still feels somewhat authentic and worth driving to. The rooms are also on the smaller side, so if you go during peak hours, it's definitely more "crowded" than "calm." Honestly, the only reason I still make the trip is that it's the only K-spa within a reasonable driving distance from Boston. If there were more local options, I'd probably skip the decline here and head straight to NJ or NYC for a higher-quality experience. It's still a decent option if you're desperate for a scrub and a soak without the four-hour drive, but I really miss the high standards they had at the beginning.

It's OK, I figured it out pretty quickly, but it might've been nice considering they were not busy at the front desk. I lived in Korea and have experienced authentic Korean bathhouses. However, you can still get in and out of the pools with ease because of the railings. There is maybe enough space for two in the plunge pool. Staff came through with some cool eucalyptus towelettes and there is free flavored or non flavored water to drink. The cons for me would be the parking, and the over booking, people were struggling to find places for their robes and cups. My husband and I checked in and was greeted by a friendly staff member who told us our locker number. Then, another staff member told us what we would find in our locker and about the water journey. The locker room was very clean and spacious. I put on my robe on top of my bathing suit and sandals and headed to the water journey space with my reusable water cup. The water journey space includes: 98° Bodhi Glow Mineral Pool, 104° Bodhi Restore Mineral Pool, eucalyptus steam room, cold plunge, full spectrum infrared sauna, traditional finnish dry sauna, and a relaxation area. The Water Journey is 2 hours and 30 minutes and we spent pretty much the full time in the space. There were probably 14 people total in the space at the same time, but it didn't feel crowded. Also, everyone honored the whisper policy and no one was obnoxiously loud. At one point, the staff came around with cold towels. As our time was almost up, we headed to each of our locker rooms and took a shower. The shower had body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. There was also a bathing suit spinner that dries the water out of the swim suit. The water journey was definitely worth $85.00. I had such a relaxing time and can't wait till next time. Reservations do fill up, so I definitely recommend making your reservation sooner than later.

I used vagaro, the online appointment scheduling platform for Harmony on Hope Massage, to book The Perfect Pair - Couples Massage for 60 Minutes for $240 with Matt Kenny and Nikki Seidman. The system was easy to use and there were plenty of availabilities so you can choose what date, time, and therapists works best for you. Just make sure to allocate enough time to answer questions related to your medical history and any specific areas you want the therapists to work on. Since making the appointment date to our appointment date, we received multiple appointment reminders via text and email. Our appointment was at 10:30 AM on Wed, June 19, 2024. We parked on the side street, but it looks like there is a small parking lot next to the building. We arrived to Harmony on Hope Massage around 10:20 AM and was greeted by Shannon, founder of Harmony on Hope Massage. She made sure all our forms were completed, informed the therapists we arrived for our appointment, and told us where the restroom was. In the waiting room, there was filtered water, mini zen garden, and the wall behind Shannon was decorated with handmade wood frames with crystals, feathers, and branches. Matt and Nikki came to greet us in the waiting room and welcomed us to a room with two massage tables side by side and two chairs with a table in the middle. We discussed what we wanted the therapists to work on, if we wanted the heat on the table, what to take off or leave on, what position to lie in on the table, complimentary hot stones if wanted, aromatherapy, pressure strength, and so much more. After our meeting, they left and we undressed and got on the massage table. We put our clothes on the hangers, rings in the ring dish, and a basket underneath the table. Soft music played in the room. After the massage was finished, the therapists left and we got dressed. The therapists met us and asked how we felt. My massage therapist felt I was tense in between my shoulder blades and released the tension. My back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck, and shoulders felt so relaxed, physically and mentally. This was probably the best full-body massage I've ever gotten. My favorite part was when my shoulders, scalp, and hips were being massaged. I also enjoyed the hot towels. Only the area being worked on was exposed from the sheets. From the check-in to check-out, the whole experience was marvelous. All the staff are very professional. Shannon charged us for the visit and we were able to Venmo our tips for the message therapists. Our therapists Venmo QR code was in a ring holder. I can't stop talking about this massage experience and looking forward to the next one.

While the manicurist, Geissi (I'm not sure if that's her exact name), was attending to me, she tried to take photos of my nails without my permission, claiming that this was allowed in the United States as long as my face wasn't in the shot. She assumed I was unfamiliar with local laws regarding the right to privacy and the protection of one's image. I refused to let her do it, and I was even told that I was the only customer who had ever refused until then. When it came time to pay, the salon owner, Joice, charged me $82.00, claiming the menu I had been given was outdated. I had actually intended to leave a generous tip, but I decided against it due to their lack of honesty and professionalism. I considered calling the police to enforce the price listed on the menu, but I ultimately decided to just pay and leave. I paid $40.00 in cash and $42.00 on my card (I have a photo of the receipt). I am posting this review on Google to warn others about the salon's dishonest and illegal practices and to discourage them from visiting--especially since the salon is located in an unsafe area. I felt extorted, and I will not return to a place that lacks such basic honesty and professionalism. Another important detail: the owner, Ms. Joice, is a liar. She claimed the service menu was outdated and that the website already listed the manicure and pedicure price as $80.00. I checked the website and discovered yet another lie; this makes me believe that the quality of the salon's services and products lacks any credibility, as the owner sets a terrible example for her staff.
