She helped ease a lot of our worries and concerns, especially since our wedding was a 400+ guest count event. Regardless of our large guest count, our guests' had the best time of their lives and it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've ever been to, per their feedback, which we completely agree!!! Our wedding wouldn't have turned out as beautiful and magical as it did if it weren't for Jessica and her JMK events team. It was one of the happiest days of our lives despite the heavy rain showers anticipated to occur during our outdoor wedding. Not only did she provide a lot of hope, positivity, and words of encouragement, she was able to put together a backup plan in one week's time using the venue's limited capacity indoor facility and repurpose so many of our items that we've rented and purchased. She is positive, encouraging, knowledgeable and best of all, she doesn't try to force traditions on you. I had interviewed with a few before her, and was given some slight sideeye. My wedding was off the offbeat variety so we had some puzzles to solve but overall the process was smooth. They give you a handy workbook and timeline and do frequent check ins to make sure nothing is left until the last minute. When it came down to the month of, Jenny and Genevieve took the reigns and made contact with all my vendors so I didn't have anything to think about except my own hair and makeup. To be honest, I'm not a person who trusts other people to take care of the logistics, the tiny details that are so important to me--but RNE far exceeded my expectations. Early on in our engagement, my husband and I were ambivalent on the idea of hiring a wedding planner. We had already chosen several of our main vendors and thought we could save money and handle planning our wedding on our own but we were mistaken.  We were soon overwhelmed with all the details and started to have decision-making fatigue so we decided to look for a wedding planner. After quite a bit of research we chose Justina/JL Events and we are so grateful we did! Her services were definitely worth the investment. We highly recommend Justina for wedding planning and coordination. She is professional but personable, trustworthy, and very easy to work with. She had great communication from the start and all throughout the preparation for our big day; her responsiveness was amazing. During our first meeting, Justina quickly identified our needs and vision and created a detailed timeline for our wedding planning. She helped us narrow down design choices and accompanied us to meetings with vendors. We were impressed by her organization and proactive approach! Having Justina as our planner helped alleviate much of the stress that comes with planning a large wedding (we had about 260 guests.) There were several instances in which we were frustrated dealing with unresponsive vendors but Justina was great at facilitating communication and even helped us find better companies to work with. Justina helped us stay on track during rehearsal day and was an expert problem-solver. She coordinated with our vendors and the staff at Casa Real with ease and was patient with us and our large wedding entourage. On the day of our wedding, Justina and her assistant Dana took such great care of us and we were able to enjoy our wedding celebration! Unlike other planners that my friends have had, Brook and Alexis were completely accessible (email, phone, anytime, unlimited) and willing to do pretty much anything that was within reason. Estimate how much alcohol we should get? No problem. Send me pictures of linens from multiple sites across the city? Easy. They were very detailed and organized and never complained or charged more for traveling down to my wedding site multiple times, coming to tastings, meeting with vendors etc. I liked that I could do the things that I wanted to do (design the invitations) and they would do the things that appealed to me less (find portable toilet vendors). The icing on the cake was the wedding day. I had had a vision of having a long table with looping cafe lights above, instead of the traditional round table look. They totally understood the vision, and then took it to the next level. The table was simply breathtaking. Guests could not stop commenting about it, which is a lot given that it was just a table! The creative concepts we had worked on together came to life in a way that exceeded my expectations. The day went really smoothly, despite record heat which necessitated a mid-wedding trip to the store for more whiskey (?!) which they took care of with grace. Unlike other planners I have seen in action, B&A stayed until the bitter end to make sure everything was cleaned and taken care of, which was really important since the wedding was at a family home. Nonpareil is relatively new so they are still developing relationships with vendors, so don't expect crazy discounted prices from their relationships. However, they are adept at making new relationships and working with people, so it won't be long before their network is solidified.
