My friend is a bigger girl, and she was happy to see they had a bit for her to try on. What's more, the dresses they had were actually really nice and shapely (not like a sack!). We walked in without an appointment, and the lady was lovely. There were a few people in the store, but she spent about 20 minutes with us, helping my friend in and out of dresses. She didn't try to push her into buying something, nor was she over gushy or negative. All in all a good experience.

I placed an order and was told 4-6 months as the orders had slowed down at that period. I was like great I'll have plenty of time for alterations, which is good because my body is changing right now. Anyway, 6 months came and I haven't heard anything, so I called in and they said it was delayed by a month and I was like oh that's ok I'll still have time. Anyway 6 weeks passed, didn't hear anything, called them and they said it had been shipped and they'd be in contact in the next two weeks but not to worry as I had plenty of time till my wedding (none of their business). So I called them three weeks later as I hadn't heard anything, they told me it was still being made, it will be shipped soon. I was pretty angry, but kept my mouth shut cause I loved my dress. Didn't hear anything, Called 2 weeks later, said it had been shipped and it was in the next shipment, due for delivery within 7 days. Of course, didn't hear anything after 10 days so I called, they said it hadn't been shipped yet but I should "stop stressing as I have heaps of time till my wedding and it won't make a different if I call again". Anyway the dress got delayed by a few weeks, which I would only get told when I called to ask. Finally got it nearly 10 months later, leaving me absolutely minimum time to get alterations. I give it 2 stars, one for the amazing quality dresses they have and one for the fact that I was spoken to with respect and they were quite calming. If you're buying your dress here, I would definitely lie to them about your wedding date. Other than that, (and the horror stories other girls have told me about them delivering the wrong dresses) I would STILL recommend simply for the gorgeous, fantastic quality dresses in a multitude of sizes and the body positivity I experienced while in store.

They were extremely rude on the phone, refused to properly check my order when I rang to confirm (as overheard from not properly putting me on hold they said "just tell her its coming when we told her") and they didn't phone me to inform me the dress had arrived (I rang to follow up past the expected delivery date). And worst of all, they didn't order the additional matching fabric to make the required alterations. Nor were they apologetic about their oversight. I have no idea now if the fabric is going to arrive in time to make my alterations. Unless you want additional stress added to your wedding preparations, I would not purchase your dress from this store.

There you will find a number of shops, but for many it starts and finishes with Jenny and Gerry's. There are a couple of reasons why many a potential Bride and Grooms (mainly just the Bride) head to the showroom. Firstly they handle both mens and womens attire for the big day, from the Gowns to the mens cummerbunds to a more mature look for the Mother and Father who are more than likely shelling out the clams for the event! They also stock some top end casual wear and standard suits for guys, make sure you are cashed up though!

If you cant get a dress beyond your hips or bust you can't get an idea of what it might look like in a reasonable size. Some of the sample dresses even had blood on them ! Poor service and overpriced dresses is all you'll find here. I'll never be returning. Avoid!!
