When my friend got married last year, I came here with her so she could try on some dresses. They have lots to choose from. My friend is a bigger girl, and she was happy to see they had a bit for her to try on. What's more, the dresses they had were actually really nice and shapely (not like a sack!). We walked in without an appointment, and the lady was lovely. There were a few people in the store, but she spent about 20 minutes with us, helping my friend in and out of dresses. She didn't try to push her into buying something, nor was she over gushy or negative. All in all a good experience. read more

Unfortunately, their motivation is to get the sale! My dress arrived completely different to what I ordered. The Manager did not show any care factor what so ever and I had to pay over a thousand dollars for alterations to have it as close as possible to what I ordered originally. Paid for additional motives as keepsake and still yet to receive. Worst experience, avoid the heartache read more

Are you like me and like to go into Bridal wear shops to try on wedding dresses even though you aren't engaged and feel as though you never will be? Well my friend, you should see the selection of white, bitterness inducing frocks!! Stunning really, I'm sure I resembled a fish when I was browsing this store. You know, the bridesmaid dresses can be worked for formal other occasions too, some of them don't resemble what I would class as a bridesmaid dress in the slightest, There's no way my gaggle of girls will be showing leg AND thigh. No. See I have the bridezilla thing downpat. The staff are extremely friendly, not in a fake way though, and they simply loved hearing about my cliff top wedding along the Great Ocean Road plans. "we're all staying at a roadhouse, it's going to be magical" Which I of course made up, kudos to her for keeping a straight face. I just want the dress, the cake and the party, not the actual marriage. read more

Horrible experience. The owner of this store is extremely arrogant and rude. I was about to spend a significant amount of money here until I overheard her on the phone to another customer. I was shocked and decided if that's the way they treat people at BOP then I'd be taking my money elsewhere. I didn't want that to happen to me. I added polite feedback to their FB page and it was promptly deleted. read more

I went to Bridal On Pulteney but wasn't sure if the dresses were going to be in my price range. I was so suprised of affordability of the range in store. The service was excellent even though my budget was low. Very happy with the outcome. read more

Worst experience of my life. If I could give them no stars at all, I would. They turned the happiest time of my life to a nightmare that is not ended yet. A very stressful and negative memory. When I chose this dress they told me they could tailor it to my measurements but after 5 try and every time being told by the tailor, Laura Searle, that the dress will be fixed the next time, they gave me a horribly fixed dress which I have many photos of and on top of that they wanted to charge me extra for fixing this problem. The tailor was so rude and unprofessional and also was a bully. They have put me through so much unnecessary drama and stress and I didn't even wear this dress for my wedding as I hated it. Don't fall for their smiles and promises on the first day. They can change very quickly. , Oh and the suggestion by the tailor for me was to hold my bouquet in front of my dress so it's not obvious how horrible the dress looks. I have written this review on google too and they responded that they have fixed my dress free of charge which is an absolute lie and Laura has been sending me bills for what she hasn't done and according to the shop, it has been done free of charge by Jenny, the manager and also Laura's best friend. I have bought the dress in July and after 8 months, I am still dealing with the stress they have put me through. I don't think any bride deserves to experience what I am going through and it's such a shame that they can get away with horrible things like this. They are very dishonest and immoral and don't care about their customers. read more

Firstly, this review is for the SERVICE only... the Dresses themselves are amazing! When finding a bridal store I called several places and asked about sizing and whether they stocked plus size dresses available to try on.. The lady on the phone assured me they had "a huge selection of plus size dresses to try on". When we got to the store.... they had 2!! Luckily my girls liked one of them so we ordered 2 of them plus another style for my third bridesmaid. A week later I got a phone call saying that they could only source 1 dress from the current supplier however had another supplier that could do the exact same dress, the only difference was that the strap was an inch thick instead of a spaghetti strap. I confirmed everything else was the same including size, colour, fit, price etc. There was then a "customs" delay in getting the dress - this I expected so all good.. I picked up the third dress on the Friday which was all good as my two girls had planned to go in together on the Saturday to try them on and pick them up. On the Friday they showed me the dress from the second supplier to prove that it had arrived and to show me the thicker straps. I'm a male... I assumed it was fine. On the Saturday my two girls went in to pick up their dresses... the Service was non existent to begin with. Once served they tried the dresses on to find that they were different shades of maroon. The straps were also different... the original dress had the straps which could go down over the tops of the arms whereas the second dress now had thi her straps that can only go over the shoulder... so a completely different look! What made this situation worse was that the person serving stated " It's ok, we showed the groom all the dresses yesterday and he said the different shades were ok and that the straps were ok"... DONT LIE to my friends and think they wouldn't tell me... I only saw one dress on the Friday and there was no mention EVER about a different colour shade in the dresses. As mentioned at the beginning, the dresses are great.. (minus the slight colour difference) but the service was Terrible!! read more

Bridal on Pulteney was my first stop on my wedding dress hunt, but there was no need to go anywhere else after! The staff were so lovely and friendly. The lady helping me try on dresses gave me honest feedback and took into account what I was after and my budget. After trying on 6 or 7 dresses, I had found my dream dress and the assistant was so patient and helped me without pushing me to make a decision. I'm so happy I stopped at Bridal on Pulteney and I love my wedding dress. read more
