Amazing wood fired pizza. They are way better than any of the other pizza places in the area. Decent prices too

My story I thought was simple …read more I Visited Last Piece to make a booking first week in January for May 30th I made the booking asking if I should make deposit at the time of making the booking. Joe the manager, who was very helpful and friendly said no deposit now is required but closer to the date The functions coordinator will call us next week . No call until mid February no apologies were made. She asked my daughter to email confirming details . My daughter sent email as soon as she got off the phone No reply was ever received. Antoinella called my daughter today and could not remember the previous discussion she had with her 3 weeks ago and didn't even know her name also she advised we have two other groups interested in the same date so you need to make a deposit today or tomorrow. I called Antoinella as it thought it would be easier dealing with me than my daughter since I was the one paying. She was rude and showed no empathy to me not being able to pay today or tomorrow even though I was given the incorrect information. I found her very intimidating and aggressive. So I asked to speak to the owner Adrian. Well things went from bad to worse and his exact words to me were We don't need people like you in my restaurant we have enough business let's cancel your booking. Wow I asked if it's ok then if I leave a google review He said go for it I will just delete ! Really can you do that let's see ..... And today on Facebook the reply from Last Piece Thanks Karen for the review but it was you that canceled the function not me.. I was just thankful that you did.

An oasis in the industrial area, I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't suffer from gondola…read moresyndrome. You know, those restaurants at the head of gondolas that are always crap because you have no choice, you are a captive audience. Turns out that this place is Italian through and through - the wait staff, the wine guy, and the chefs, all as Italian as chianti. Ice cold Peronis, a good review of the menu and the swordfish special was duly chosen, served with artichokes, stuffed calamari, mashed potato and peas, it was truly a delight. The swordfish was succulent, the calamari a surprise (of the pleasant kind) and the artichokes tender. Hard to mess up mashed spud, and they didn't, it was creamy and well seasoned. Service was solicitous without being overpowering, prompt and courteous. Worth a try if in the area.

Did this place change or what! A stalwart of glen waverley dining, it never disappointed…read more But now ... 20 minutes to get a glass of mineral water to the table, let alone menus, wine lists, etc. Spaghetti over-cooked, dry and gluggy. Ms F 's duck was similarly overcooked, dry and stringy. Wines were extremely overpriced by the glass but reasonable by the bottle. Go figure. What happened to the little taste of Italy in the suburbs? Was is because it was a Monday night and they just don't care? Of has the place changed owners? Such high hopes - Ms F and I had our first date in a little corner table. But time moves on and so will we. We won't be back.
