Fast forward a few years and the success continued, with good coffee and a decent food available. Fast forward to today, Dandenong has continued to grow and some amazing small businesses have come to the area. I would say since this time Beletti's hasn't been the busy little hub as smaller (and better) coffee shops moved closer to the bigger offices, making the walk to Beletti's for coffee obsolete. Also, with the huge success of The Pavilion just around the corner I'd be surprised if Beletti's hasn't taken a hit. After telling my sister over three years ago (back when it was really good) I'd take her here for brunch, I finally got around to it yesterday. The interior of Beletti's is modern, well-lit and spacious. I've never had bad service here, they're so friendly and welcoming. I just had a latte and a ham, cheese and tomato croissant from the breakfast menu. The coffee was decent, the croissant was quite soggy at the bottom which was disappointing. My sister reported her soy chai was delightful. In its heyday, this place was great. Still good for the odd work meeting or breakfast if you work nearby, or for dinner if you live local. I think it just happens to be that better coffee shops and restaurants have moved into the area in recent years and are in closer proximity to the Dandenong CBD so it makes makes coming to Beletti's a bit... unnecessary, for lack of a better word.

I decided to give Beletti a go. I ordered the pork robs for dinner and they are awesome. They have a Jack Daniels marinade that is really tasty. It was a Friday night and the place was half full. Many times have I complained about the dough or the lack of toppings. However, this may just be the place I have been looking for! We ordered a tropical (Hawaiian) and a meat lovers. The meat lovers was juicy and the BBQ sauce was delicious. I got the tropical with extra cheese on top and even though I've had better Hawaiians this one was still very enjoyable. The dough too was light and fluffy which is plus. Finally the last test, how is it the next day. Out of the microwave it was still very much enjoyable! I will definitely be going back if not calling this place home!

Joe the manager, who was very helpful and friendly said no deposit now is required but closer to the date The functions coordinator will call us next week . No call until mid February no apologies were made. She asked my daughter to email confirming details . My daughter sent email as soon as she got off the phone No reply was ever received. Antoinella called my daughter today and could not remember the previous discussion she had with her 3 weeks ago and didn't even know her name also she advised we have two other groups interested in the same date so you need to make a deposit today or tomorrow. I called Antoinella as it thought it would be easier dealing with me than my daughter since I was the one paying. She was rude and showed no empathy to me not being able to pay today or tomorrow even though I was given the incorrect information. I found her very intimidating and aggressive. So I asked to speak to the owner Adrian. Well things went from bad to worse and his exact words to me were We don't need people like you in my restaurant we have enough business let's cancel your booking. Wow I asked if it's ok then if I leave a google review He said go for it I will just delete ! Really can you do that let's see ..... And today on Facebook the reply from Last Piece Thanks Karen for the review but it was you that canceled the function not me.. I was just thankful that you did.
