My boyfriend and I waited for exactly 2h before our turn to enter the devil's descent haunted house. I liked that there was music but very limited option of hard rock or edm. The characters walk around to help keep up the haunted/scary mood but it didn't work for me. What I liked best was that they space out each group so that you get a more authentic experience of walking through a haunted house with just you and your buddies. For the extremely long wait time, I would not go again.

So I'm not the worst friend ever. This is the ONLY thing to do in Surrey on a Sunday night apparently. We originally rented a car an ventured from Vancouver (with Dave S, Nicole F, and our buddy) and were out to find a corn maze, but when both corn mazes AND a haunted barn were closed (what the hell) we decided to have some drinks at Chuck E Cheese where this lovely redhead girl told us about another haunted house. And her advice was sound. I knew we could trust her after she gave us a blow-up crown and a Spiderman Balloon. We were already pretty stoked when a giant pumpkin head anamatronic popped up and sang us a Halloween song to the tune of Eminem's "Lose Yourself (yes, it is as awesome as it sounds) and it just gets better from there. Completely terrifying. Loved it. Note that this is only open Oct. 12th - 31st, 6pm - 10pm (but 6pm-7pm is "family hour" which probably means less scary and useless.)

First we rode an interurban car for a short portion of their track. Then we took a tour of their facility starting with their bee garden through their shop and finishing with a ride on their velocipede and modified pump car. Because it was a special event, we had a catered lunch (they use the catering business next door), which was simple, delicious, and way better than a boxed lunch. We finished the afternoon with a final ride on their Queen Car -- Connaught 1304 car. We had a good time. It was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon, so I would recommend checking them out for a few hours one afternoon or hosting an event there.

Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society in Surrey, BC…read more We had a lovely time Saturday, July 14, 2018. Our 3 y/o daughter loves trains and we had seen the train a couple month prior (I think they were preparing and maybe advertising) going down the tracks as we drove along side them. The volunteers were all very lovely. There were a lot of them, probably 10+ people. I was at first sticker shocked at the admission prices but the train ride was almost an hour. The commentary from one of the volunteers was great. He provided a lot of history and facts on the first half of the stretch. It was a bit of a long ride for our daughter, she was good to go after the first 20 mins. There are also no washrooms onboard once you leave the station, obviously, so you have to make sure you go before you leave. They had a simulator that you could drive while you waited for your train to depart. She really enjoyed that! I'd recommend this attraction if you can afford it. It cost us $50 for our family of three. Adults are $20 & kids 2-11 years are $10.

I was driving the mains as hard as they could and I managed to dial in a severe sonic wall of full, rich sound with just enough top end to deliver the highs. The seemingly innocent looking jbl monitors ensure u hear every dynamic nuance guaranteeing a perfect reference point and a sinister level of decibels should u need to unleash some serious sound pressure levels. If you know how to mix, the gear is more than capable of producing blistering levels of sonic mayhem yet remain clean and defined throughout the entire mix. Rock solid sound proofing and acoustically treated walls maintain low leakage and controlled sound absorbtion. The shure sm 48 mics lack the crisp brightness and full bottom of it's big brother the sm58, thus needing a small boost in the top end of ur strip. Even then the sm48 falls short of the legendary 58 sound. Very similar but not. Beringer boards r simple, powerful and boasts more than decent 24 bit onboard rotary controlled sound fx. The Beringher /Jbl systems r responsive and effective choices for tight clean sound with enough head room and punch to propel you when needed, yet subtle enough to still be sweet and dynamic as well making these rooms suitable for all styles of projects/bands. Clean, secure ,comfortable pro rooms w lots of outlets and space. Lighting would not go off which drove me nuts,as I bought my own lighting which had to compete with bright overhead floods. A dimmer would be a perfect addition. Love the complimentary fresh coffee and chilled water provided. I can't w8 2 return for the next session!!! Plug in turn up,BLAST OFF! U should go,... The complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and hot/cold water machine are gone, and there is nowhere to put your guitar cases as the tables have disappeared, too. As I said, it's a dump. Look elsewhere for a band rehearsal space. Once Music Makers was sold it was over. The room upstairs is just a very unpleasant place to make music now.
