Jericho Arts Centre - Performing Arts Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

Shows at the Jericho Arts Center can be a little hit-or-miss and definitely less polished than at other theaters around town. The ticket price, though, is about half that you'd pay at the Arts Club. The company is mostly volunteer-run and often selects more off-beat productions. The intermission concession is my favorite in town: grab a pack of Rolos and a coffee for $2. (When eaten together it's kind of like a caramel chocolate latté. Okay, I'm stretching.) The chairs here could use a refurbishing, which is where the hit-or-miss comes into play. A 90-minute show in an uncomfortable chair is okay, but edge over that 2-hour mark and nothing can save that show for me. The world needs far more people with the ability to eliminate the unnecessary. I guess I'd best stop there. read more

This is a great venue for local theatre. Saw 'Grey Garden's' and the performance was fantastic. The venue is quaint and no 'bad' seats! I'm a fan! read more
