This is a genuinely lovely pub with nice people and great atmosphere. It's not far off the main road, either, in a cute little village. They have a dining room, an outside area with tables (where smoking is permitted), a beer garden, and a pub room. Beers ranged from basic bitter to some good names. Lunch food was nicely made and really well presented.
Folks at the next table to mine use this pub as an occasional meeting spot to meet some friends. They drive about 70 miles one way and their friends drive about 70 miles from the other direction, and they meet in the middle at the Bell Inn. With all the pubs they could choose from that would fit the bill, you can imagine it must be pretty good to choose that one. read more
