I sent the same message about my problem to multiple businesses that do the same repair work, and the answers ranged from 'looks like your screen is broken' to 'we don't stock screens for your phone.' He gave me updates as to when the part will be available, when it would be ready but also what hours his business is open. Clearly Andy gets my money. Customer service is simple.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon because my iPhone screen was cracked and getting worse. The place…read moreisn't far from Gateway and 34, but is a little hidden in the upper level of a small shopping plaza type row of stores. You go in the front door and straight up a rather steep flight of stairs, where you'll find a couple of counters and phone accessory displays. One lone guy was working that Sunday but he was happy to help. I have an iPhone 6S which is a few years old now, but they nonetheless had different colours of replacement screen in stock, and he quoted me a great price to do the replacement. Unfortunately he'd injured his wrist recently so said he'd take a little longer than normal, but I left the phone with him for an hour and went to do some shopping over on Gateway and it was all done by the time I came back. Super helpful and friendly service, good prices, and they seem to keep a good stock selection of spare screens too. He even threw in a tempered glass protector for free. Would certainly recommend this place to anyone needing replacement phone glass, and although I hope I won't need another replacement any time soon, I'll certainly go back if I do need a new screen again. Two thumbs up!

We went to a few kiosks and were not impressed with the service so far. There were 2 sales associates at the front of the door trying to entice people with free cellphones. We walked in and I asked the associate what phone and plan would be best for someone looking for unlimited Canada wide calling, limited text and data. He showed us the plans available through Virgin Mobile. It was great they offered unlimited calling weekdays from 5PM-7AM and weekends, and unlimited international texting. The cheapest plan was $34 with no data. They were offering a free iPhone 4 or Samsung Galaxy S3 for a 2 year contract, and $50 in store credit. We decided to check out a few other stores but went back the Source because we received such great service, no pressure, and it was one of the best deals. We looked for the same sales associate, Ameya, and he saw us and came to help. My friend and I went to look for what she could get with $50 and she decided on another charger and Bluetooth speaker. Ameya set up the phone, and let my friend choose between 5 phone numbers. He connected the phone to the in store wifi to show her how to connected to the Bluetooth and use the speaker. He gave her his card and said she could see him or call if she had any questions about how to use her Samsung. I was impressed with the patience and time he took with us. He was also very knowledgeable to answer the questions I asked. These days cellphone providers don't seem to provide much service but we were lucky to find one employee that really cares about service and customers. I would go back and see him when my contract is up.

The Source is a good place to find plugs and accessories when you're on the run. I remember when…read morethis place used to be Radio Shack, but not much has changed. They have a decent selection of tvs, mp3 players, laptops, phones, clocks and other small electronic items, however they're beaten in pretty much every category when compared to the big box electronic stores like Best Buy or Future Shop. As I mentioned, their selection is ok if you need something in an emergency, but otherwise I would not bother going into their locations...there is much better selection in the bigger electronic stores. I find their store very small and cramped, especially when the mall gets busy. The Source claims to have more personable service, however every time I'm here, I barely find any staff here, but if I do, then they're usually too busy with a customer.
