I made the appointment two months ago and today was the first available appointment. I was so afraid I would forget something. (ADHD man - it's a hard world for us!) Anyway, I got there and got clear instructions on what to do, and then was quickly called back by Zachovia (apologies if my spelling is off!) she was efficient and businesslike and she got it all taken care of so quickly - what a relief! Anyway I just wanted to say this went very smoothly thanks to her! I did hear someone's appointment get canceled because they hadn't already filled out the needed forms when they got here for their appointment, so I do recommend you get everything you need printed up and filled out before you get here because they don't play! Best of luck to anybody trying to navigate this process who has lost important documents needed for the Real ID. Luckily I have a current passport and that really made all the difference along with my ss card and drivers license. If you have time and money to do it, I recommend getting a passport first because it makes the rest of it so much less of an ordeal and I think the process may even be less stressful. Plus you might want to be able to leave the country in the next decade. :)

Super fast and efficient…read more Had an appointment in the morning and was in and out in under 30 minutes. The staff were helpful and friendly. Make sure all of your paperwork is in order and you'll have no hiccups. The only downside is making the appointment online and it's either next month or more for the earliest availability. I did overhear some people walk in without appointments and was given one sooner than they would have gotten if they did it online.

All I had to do was head to the forms on the wall and select the one that applied to me (there were three to choose from and the options were very clear). Clipboards for filling out the forms were plenty at the reception desk. Additionally, the form was very straightforward. There are plenty of seats in the waiting area and clear signs tracking customer numbers for service. The DPS counters for customer service are hidden from the waiting area with temporary walls, providing customer privacy. That said, there are clear signs posted indicating the number of each employee's counter to help customers go to the right person. Customer numbers are clearly announced when it is their turn. The employee who assisted me was amiable and efficient. He appreciated that I was prepared with appropriate documentation and a completely filled out form. Taking my new driver license photo was easy; however, there was only once chance for it, so I had to accept the one that came thru. But it's not meant to be a glamour shot, so no reason to complain! Paying happens with the employee, and that was super easy. Overall, this is a great location to renew driver licenses!

Well I got to the office about 11:30 this morning, finished up and out the door by 12:45. You can book an appointment on line so your wait may not be that long. When you get there you log into and make a selection of either sitting there or requesting a text when it is your turn. I opted for the text message but still sat in the waiting room. There are about 15 chairs and they are always full. You can wait out side on the picnic table. Mine probable took longer being I was a New Resident and changing over a lot of items. They have one window dedicated to dealers so they can come in and be out sooner. Most people I saw were doing renewals and some other issues. Debra helped me out in getting both of my vehicles registered and my Disabled Veteran's plates. She was very professional and courteous, great conversation as we moved along in the process. She is a true and real asset to this office. All of the other ladies in all of their transaction were very professional in their dealing with the public. I did not see anyone leaving the office angry or frustrated. Keep up the great work you and a true asset to the city and county.
