This deli is unassuming and easy to pass by being located inside a Citgo gas station. But, trust me, you want to make a point to get yourself there! When you enter the gas station store turn right, walk ahead and you'll end up at the counter for Belkis. Fast, super friendly service. Great portion size and prices. Exceptional food! No contest the BEST cuban sandwich I have ever had. Exemplary meat/filling to bread ratio. The bread was fresh and perfectly crisp with garlic (I'm pretty certain) grilled onto the outside of it. The meat was tender and not at all greasy. There was the perfect amount of ham to pork to cheese to pickles to mustard. All around there was not a single thing I did not love about my cuban! I also got a very large portion of plantains. They were hot and cooked to the best texture. The Cuban and the plantains cost me $22 and supplied me with two and a half meals. read more

I know this place already has a lot of hype but it lived up to it imo. In the back of a gas station, this Cuban woman made the best Cuban sandwich I have personally had. She was very friendly and made it fresh in front of you. The smell of roasted garlic when she is making it makes you so ready to dig in. The sandwich was also huge and well worth the $15 price. Great food! I got the Cuban sand which and it was very good. Pork was fantastic and it had a nice toast. While I was waiting the very nice lady making the food offered me some samples of the chicken and two different types of beef. WOW, I don't really know Cuban food well but that chicken and the pulled beef were nuts. Definitely will be back for some more of that next time. Very generous of her to offer me a taste! Belki had good ratings on Yelp and it satisfied my desire for a Cuban sandwich. It's not everyday that you eat a great sandwich inside a gas station. Don't sleep on Belki's. They have some really great and authentic Cuban sandwiches and food. The owner was a very friendly guy with a big personality. It's always fun interacting with these kind of bosses. He just loves what he does and that's great to see these days. I ordered 3 Cuban sandwiches for myself and the family and the sandwiches are massive. I'm a pretty big guy and I only ate half the sandwich. We saved the leftovers for boating the next day and they were tasted just as good eating them the next day. While we were waiting for our Cuban sandwiches. The owner gave us some samples of his hot food like the chicken and beef and the flavor was bomb. It was out of this world delicious. I would definitely eat them on a regular basis if I lived in Venice. Like I said previously, you might find Belki's inside a gas station convenience store, but it's worth eating here. I just ate the best sandwich I've ever ever had! 9 ounces of meat on a 9 inch chunk of Cuban bread, nice and crispy on the outside, the cheese was melted, the meat was hot, and.....I just can't believe how incredibly good this Cuban sandwich was. I also had one of their little potato torpedo looking things, papas rellenas, I believe. Crunchy on the outside, inside is mashed potato that is wrapped around some spicy beef filling. It was a very cool snack, for sure! I'll probably never get back this way, as I am from the midwest, but if I do, for darn sure I'll be stopping back in here. I did read the reviews that said it was in a convenience store/gas station, but in my head I thought it meant that it was in the building of former convenience store/gas station, but it really IS inside a gas station store. You walk in the door and the food area is to the right. Ring the bell if the wonderful owner is not in view. It's a simple menu, very fast service, and just spaced on two things I had, I imagine everything else is incredibly good. Awesome hidden gem hole in the wall. You can go a few blocks and pay five times the amount for ambiance but if you want legit authentic food made with care then this is your place. Know that it is tucked in the back corner of an old gas station but that's all good. The husband and wife that run this place are incredibly nice and they really care about their food. She was so friendly and gave me samples of everything available. Everything was incredible but I had to choose one so I went with the Cuban Sandwich with extra pickles. Being half Puerto Rican I had very high hopes. I cannot rave enough about this place.! The lechon, or pernil was exactly what my abuelita ( grandma) used to make and it would take her almost 2 days. This was even better than one I had in Old San Juan on a food tour in 2022!! Caution don't go in craving something specific, bc everything is made fresh and the Cuban sandwich and ropa vieja was replaced with the lamb special and a chicken dish. All scrumptious. In fact I now prefer the lamb to the traditional brisket. All the meat succulent and fell off the bone. The owners are delightful and helpful. After reading the rave reviews we decided to try it. We got a Cuban sandwich, some beef empanadas and yuca rellena. The Cuban sandwich was enough for two and it was delicious. The beef empanadas were my favorite. Seasoned nicely in a fresh crisp shell. The yuca rellena had a beef center and tasted good. Will def go back. OMG so good. This deli is in the gas station. I food. I lived in Florida and became a big fan. We had to move to Indiana due to job and I miss the wonderful cuban food you can get in Fl. This cuban sandwich is busting with flavor. Pork is melt in your mouth tender and marinated is awesome. The husband and wife team are sweet. The husband seems to be kind and genuinely loves his food and sharing it with people. I will be coming back for sure. I was going to eat half and save the other half for dinner.. yeah that didn't happen. I bought an empanada for dinner. I am sure that will be just as good. I can't think of any way the food they cook needs to be improved but I can say I would have loved a Cuban espresso and pasteluitos with guava and cream cheese. There is no way I would have found this small Cuban counter tucked into the back corner of a gas station had it not been for fellow Yelpers' reviews. The lechon was so juicy and flavorful! The serving was generously piled with black beans and rice and could easily serve two people. The only thing I was missing was plantains but they were sadly out during my visit. I was greeted by a line of consumers awaiting their turn to order. I got in line, asked what was recommended, and as I arrived at the front counter I was greeted by the owner. He asked what I wanted, I ordered the Cuban Sandwich. I told him I had never been here before, he smiled, he pulled out a sample plate and gave me a taste of several of his items.
